This was a country club, and 99% of guys only talk to girls just to ask them to dance. Girls were probably surprised I wasn't asking them to dance. As a matter of fact, one asked me to go dance, and I told her that I had just been done dancing and my legs were a bit tired, but that I'd dance with her in a bit. She was VERY surprised.
Anywho, so my strategy was to strike up a conversation, move on and chit chat back with my friends, and on my second walk, I'd ask them to dance.
For reference, heres my encounter with HB10 (We're at the bar getting drinks, she was there with her back to me talking to her female friend, who was also hot. She immediately turned to me when I talked to her): me: "so still learning how to dance, huh?" her: "yes! its my first time here, Im still learning, how did you know?" me: "Im pretty good at gauging a girls dancing ability just by her height" her: "wow, really?" me: "no, I saw you on the dance floor strutting around like a baby calf"
This got a pretty big laugh from her and her friend. Especially since it was true, she really couldnt dance very good. At this point, I said I'd see them around and went back to my friends. Pretty much every encounter was a variation of this. Just some quick chit chat, followed by a joke, then take off.
Later in the night, I saw her standing outside the dance floor with a couple of guys around her, not even talking to her, they were just standing there. So I worked my way through the herd, stood next to her and said:
me: "so you know how to dance now?" her: "yea I'm learning" me: "OK, lets see what you got"
I grabbed her hand a took her to the dance floor, where we dance for a bit, and I enjoyed the opportunity by being a little friskier than usual. She was wearing short shorts and a flannel shirt that was tied around her chest, exposing her stomach. Needless to say, I was thoroughly enjoying her body and the moment, and so was she. I wanted to stop and move on after the second song (I had other girls in line...lol), but she held tight to my hand and kept dancing right when I was about to split. So I danced with her a bit more.
Gents, I was incredibly surprised on how easy it was to get this girl to the dance floor. I know its not huge feat by any means, but I've had anxiety my whole life just talking to average girls, so this is huge deal for me. Slowly my scumbag brain is realizing its not about the looks (Im 5'-9" and 250lbs, a fat guy by most definitions) but about how you carry yourself.
As a side note, my male friends' jaws were on the ground. Since Ive known them I had never ever had the courage to ask a girl to dance, let alone her being hot. And to top it off, when I wanted to stop, she's the one who pulled me back in, so she was clearly enjoying herself. This in and of itself was an incredible moment for me. I instantly became Alpha of the group. If there was a group of girls we were going to run game on, I got first pick. Needless to say, dancing with this chick gave me incredible social proof. There wasnt a single girl in there who didnt want to dance with me (Or thats how it felt like to me, haha)
NUMBER CLOSE So throughout the night, in between dancing with the girls, I was chatting up this girl who was with my friends group. I actually had conversations with her that had substance, initiated a good amount of kino, etc. I also danced with her for a bit throughout the night. I was getting good response from this chick, she was definitely attracted to me. At the end of the night, I asked for her number. Convo went like this:
me: "let me have your number, we have to go out sometime" her: "I have a boyfriend" me (with a smirk): "no you don't" her: "sorry, but I do! here look at my phone"
she had a picture of her and a guy on the background. So she definitely had a boyfriend, ouch!! haha.
me: "Well, its not like I hit on every girl I meet, you know. Give me your number anyways, you can hook me up with your cute friends" her:" yea totally! youre a really cool guy, etc etc"
So I got her number. Even though it wasnt a successful close by standard definition I still felt like a million bucks afterwards, this is my first number close. And I just made myself a smart, incredibly attractive female friend who also has smart and incredibly attractive female friends
