Tuurlijk niet, who cares about Condit?
Die kerel heeft er in 5 rondes voor gezorgd dat niemand ook maar iets om hem als champ geeft of als titlecontender

Dat men zoveel aandacht heeft voor het zogenaamde laffe vechten van Carlos maar men gaat voorbij aan het feit dat Diaz het gewoon niet gebracht heeft, niks geen overtuigende indrukwekkende Diaz maar een schreeuwer en een middelmatige vechter, wat een afgang.

Als Diaz had gewonnen was er gewoon geen rematch geweest.

Even though it was announced last night by UFC president Dana White that Carlos Condit had agreed to a rematch against Nick Diaz, it now appears that the Diaz camp has not accepted the bout due to undisclosed issues.
@FrontRowBrian was the first to report this lastest development over twitter.
Carlos Condit vs. Nick Diaz II will NOT happen. An issue arose from Nick’s camp last night. Nick will NOT be able to compete.
I will not go into nature of why N. Diaz can’t compete in a rematch against Condit. Condit will be in Vegas Friday to complete GSP deal
And just a few minutes prior, @TheMMAShow tweeted:
When asked to comment on the Diaz/Condit rematch, @CesarGracieBJJ told @themmashow he stands by what he said yesterday: No, not happening.
Although there is no clear confirmation on the matter, it is worth noting that this is quite a possibility.

Nate pulls him away as the scores are ready to be read.
Nate: "Hey, listen. Listen: He did what he had to do, alright? That’s what. So he’d get through that fight"

And that was how Nick went into these last seconds before the decision was read. Listening to that was really kinda tragic. Unfortunately no further conversations were recorded although you can clearly see Nate and Nick talking in the background during the Condit-interview.

En Koscheck heeft GSP een heel TUF-seizoen lang lopen jennen waarna hij iedereen beloofde om Kos te finishen. Het waren nasty jabs maar nou niet bepaald een poging om je tegenstander op spectaculaire wijze te finishen.

Diaz riep 1x "where you at, mf!" en "I think he's scared" (waarover Diaz meteen erna verklaarde dat het puur was om een fight met GSP los te peuteren) en nu zou de duistere kant van GSP opeens naar boven komen? Ik geloof er niks van, Sjors.

Niks mis met zijn heart maar ik vind het gewoon ( ondanks zijn KO win op Maynard) niet echt een boeiende vechter om te zien. Maar das puur mijn mening.
En hij gaat gewoon verliezen van Benson! Als Frankie al klappen van Maynard met knikkende knieën opvangt, dan ga ik er van uit dat Benson het nét even wat harder gaat brengen!

The Nevada State Athletic Commission said that at least one competitor from UFC 143 has tested positive for a banned substance.

In an email sent today to MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com), NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer did not specify whether the positive test was for drugs of abuse or performance-enhancing drugs but said a release was forthcoming today.

"I am still waiting for all the steroid and drug test results to come back," Kizer stated.

Kizer did not comment further on the results.

In an addition to an out-of-competition testing program recently reinstated, the NSAC conducts random fight-night tests for drugs of abuse and performance-enhancing drugs such as steroids. The tests generally include both competitors in main-event fights, as well as the night's winners.

Kizer's announcement comes one day after a rematch between newly minted UFC interim welterweight champ Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz was nixed by Diaz manager Cesar Gracie. When contacted Wednesday by MMAjunkie.com, Gracie said "no" when asked if a rematch recently announced is a reality. He declined further comment.

UFC president Dana White issued a tweet late Tuesday that said Condit had accepted a rematch with Diaz and was headed to Las Vegas on Friday, presumably, to finalize a contract for the fight. He has not commented publicly about it since.

This past Saturday at UFC 143, Condit earned a unanimous decision over Diaz to become the UFC interim welterweight champion and set a fight with undisputed champ Georges St-Pierre sometime this year. The pay-per-view event took place this past Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Diaz said he would retire shortly after the decision was handed down. UFC president Dana White then said he would understand if Diaz wanted to retire but also entertained the possibility of a rematch with Condit as St-Pierre healed from the torn ACL that scratched his scheduled meeting with Diaz and this past Saturday's event.

In an interview Tuesday with MMAjunkie.com, Gracie anticipated Diaz would return after a layoff from the sport and wished Condit luck for his fight with St-Pierre.

The identity of the person behind the failed drug test won't be known, of course, until the release. But the timing of the announcement is certainly cause for speculation.

The UFC welterweight and Cesar Gracie protege has tested positive for marijuana metabolites the second time in his mixed martial arts career and now faces an uncertain future.

Feb 9, 2012 - The Nevada Athletic Commission has confirmed that Nick Diaz tested positive for marijuana at UFC 143 and will face disciplinary action, almost certainly canceling his planned rematch with Carlos Condit and throwing his future into question.

"Mr. Diaz tested positive for marijuana metabolites. A complaint for disciplinary action against Mr. Diaz has been filed," Nevada Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer wrote in a statement distributed to the media.

After losing to Condit by unanimous decision, Diaz was expected to get a rematch before it became clear that there was an issue with Diaz's drug test. Now Diaz is likely to be suspended at least six months, and possibly longer because he's a repeat offender. Diaz was also busted for marijuana after his upset submission victory over Takanori Gomi in Pride, and that result was subsequently changed to a no contest.

Diaz's future is in doubt not only because the Commission may suspend him, but also because the UFC may decide he's more trouble than he's worth. UFC President Dana White has repeatedly lamented Diaz's refusal to "play the game," and if Diaz can't pass a drug test at the biggest fight of his career, the UFC may not trust him to participate in big fights going forward. There's also the matter of Diaz's post-fight comments, when he said he doesn't know if he even wants to fight anymore.

It's also unclear what will happen with Condit, who was declared the interim welterweight champion for his victory over Diaz. At the moment it appears likely that Condit will sit out until Georges St. Pierre has sufficiently recovered from knee surgery and can return to the Octagon, which is tentatively planned for November.
