Van Kerst tot Oud & Nieuw presenteert het Radio 2-team 24 uur per dag de 2000 favoriete platen van Nederland. ****
De 156 uur durende muzikale marathon is ook te beluisteren en te zien via de website van Radio 2.

Cultura 24
Tussen Kerst en Oud & Nieuw 2011 zendt Cultura 24 vanuit het Top 2000 Café in Beeld & Geluid iedere dag Top 2000 Visual Radio uit. Vanaf 25 december 12.00 uur, en vervolgens elke dag vanaf 00.00 uur ’s nachts tot 19.30 uur ’s avonds, is de Top 2000 Visual Radio LIVE te zien op Cultura24. De Visual Radio beelden van drie camera’s in de Top 2000 studio, worden verrijkt met informatie en vele leuke quizvragen over alle artiesten en songs uit de Top 2000.
Nederland 3
Tijdens de Top 2000 kun je in de nachtelijke uurtjes ook meekijken in de studio via Ned3 tussen +/- 01.00 - 06.00 uur.

**** = De Top 2000 is regelmatig onderwerp van discussie v.w.b. de al dan niet eerlijke samenstelling van de lijst.
Voorafgaande aan de samenstelling van de Top 2000 lijst mag iedereen 15 songs kiezen uit een vooraf, door de redactie van Radio 2, samengestelde en dus beperkte lijst. Daarnaast mag iedereen 5 vrije keuzes (andere songs dan die in de reeds samengestelde lijst staan) maken.
Diverse, door velen als vrije keuze gekozen, songs verschijnen echter nooit in de lijst, wat het vermoeden geeft dat er door de redactie van Radio 2 een selectieve keuze wordt gemaakt voor de samenstelling van de uiteindelijke Top 2000 lijst, waarin de stem van de kiezer dus minder bepalend is dan wordt gesuggereerd.
