Dat is mijn punt. Jones is gewoon zwaar overpowered voor de LHW's dus van Titles verdedigen hoeft ie niet te zweten imo. Niet dat het erg is voor hem... Hij krijgt toch wel betaald. Maar ik ben gewoon bang op veel eenzijdige gevechten.
Enigste gevecht waar ik een klein beetje warm van word is Rashad VS Jones

Jones moet duidelijk wat aan zijn chicken legs gaan doen, nu al, ook op LHW.
En hij kan beter eerst zijn waarde tonen in LHW, want daar gaat de titel zo vaak naar een andere, als je hem dan 3 a 4 keer kan verdedigen doe je al hele goede zaken.

Report: Rogers Reaches Plea Deal in Alleged Assault Case

According to a report filed by the Apple Valley Patch, former Strikeforce heavyweight title contender Brett Rogers plead guilty Thursday to one count of third-degree assault in relation to his June arrest stemming from a domestic disturbance at his home.

On June 29, Rogers was arrested on charges of third-degree assault, stalking, domestic assault by strangulation and endangerment of a child. Rogers allegedly engaged in an altercation with his wife that turned violent outside a home in the Minneapolis suburb of Apple Valley, Minn.

As part of his plea, Rogers will reportedly have the remaining charges dropped. The fighter will be sentenced on Nov. 30. The Apple Valley report states that jail time is a possibility.

“Overall, Brett and I are pleased with the outcome,” Rogers’ attorney, Murad Mohammed, told the Apple Valley Patch. “I think it’s important for everyone, especially Brett’s wife and family, to know that Brett has taken ownership for everything that’s happened. It’s an unfortunate situation for the family, and the end result is Brett not having a felony conviction, resulting in him returning to his family and continuing to fight.”

Though he was released from his Strikeforce contract shortly after his arrest, Rogers has his next fight scheduled with Titan Fighting Championships on Sept. 23. Known for his heavy hands, Rogers, 30, has lost three of his last four bouts following a perfect 10-0 start to his career.

After suffering consecutive losses to Fedor Emelianenko and Alistair Overeem, the former Sam's Club employee rebounded with a decision win over journeyman Ruben Villareal. Most recently, “The Grimm” was eliminated from the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix by onetime UFC champion Josh Barnett. “The Warmaster” dominated Rogers from start to finish, choking Rogers out with an arm-triangle on June 18, less than two weeks prior to Rogers’ arrest.

On whether all the breaking UFC news fight week took away from Strikeforce’s show: “There was like four or five storylines that came the week of the fight. It’s a slap in the face for the guys in the heavyweight tournament, a slap in the face to Luke Rockhold and ‘Jacare.’ Me, I don’t care because I wasn’t headlining nothing. I was on the card, but everybody else that got the push for this card, it was a slap in the face towards them.”

On the role marketing plays in how fans perceive UFC fighters: “I’m not saying they’re overhyped in the UFC. I think that the brand is so strong that people don’t know any better. There could be a guy out there in Kazakhstan that could smash everybody, that we don’t know about, but he hasn’t had the marketing machine behind him. On whether he’d like to move to the UFC now or later: “I’d pick whichever one pays the bigger check. Because what it comes down to is, it’s about money. I’ve seen a lot of champions that left sports broke as hell. I’m not trying to be one of them. You can be a great fighter, but if you leave the sport broke, you’re still a joke. I’d rather be a rich joke than a broke serious fighter or a broke legend. Seriously.”

On whether he’d leave MMA and join the WWE if the pay was better there: “Hell yeah I would, man. Hell yeah I’d go to pro wrestling. Hell yeah.”

On whether fatigue was a factor when he lost to Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante: “I was not tired against Feijao. When you saw the postfight interview, he was still catching his breath. I wasn’t. I was good. I was like whatever, but the thing is, I had [cadaver tissue] put in my knee. I came back too soon, fought with Mark Kerr, and I think my body rejected the cadaver. If you watch the Mark Kerr fight, when I picked him up, my knee gave out. Pretty much when I fought Mark Kerr, Mike Whitehead, [Gegard] Mousasi and Feijao, I had no ACL. My body rejected it.”

On how teammate Daniel Cormier matches up against Josh Barnett in the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix final: “I can see how people would lean toward Barnett, but I think Daniel has a chance to win. I think Daniel can win this fight. Barnett’s tough. The thing is, Daniel has control where the fight goes. If he does [take the fight to the ground], he has to be wary of the leg locks. If he can control him on his back, then he’ll win the fight and I think he can do that.”

Niet veelvuldig, maar dat komt omdat die man gewoon een mad reach heeft. Afstand houden is zijn specialiteit.

Shogun is gewoon een vrij kleine MW die niet cut naar 185. Dat levert bepaalde voordelen op maar ook bepaalde nadelen. Hij probeerde Jones ook met kracht te verslaan ipv slimmer te zijn.

Waarom zou hij dat doen? Hij is een erg competitieve vechter op 205 of hij dat als heavyweight ook zal zijn is nog maar de vraag. Hij kan een net zo dominante vechter worden in zijn divisie als A. Silva dat is in de zijne. Laat hem maar eerst lekker naam maken op zijn huidige plek. Ik kijk er in ieder geval naar uit om Rampage outclassed te zien worden.

Het lijkt mij aan een kant geweldig om Rampage weer als top dog uit deze strijd te komen.

Hij lijkt het ook gruwelijk als Rampage Jones knankenhard KO slaat. Mag Jones niet met z'n "holier than you" attitude, dan zie ik liever Rampage die gewoon zegt wat hij denkt.

WEC featherweight champ Urijah Faber gained the attention of MMA fans with hard-fought victories over top fighters like Jens Pulver. But "The California Kid's" toughest battle came while vacationing in Bali back in 2006 when Faber literally had to fight for his life in a scene straight out of a Hollywood action movie.

Here, the champ breaks down the details of the street fight:

I was on vacation in Indonesia, and my buddies had to leave early, so I ended up being by myself in this club. I was actually hanging out with some European chicks at the time, and this guy came up and started a fight with me. I kind of shrugged the whole situation off. But he was persistent about eyeballing me and he didn't speak any English. I was like, 'Dude, what is this fucking guy's problem?'

So, I walk up to him and I'm like, 'What's your problem man?' And I turned around, and pointed, like, 'Do you want to walk outside? We'll figure it out outside.' Then we walked outside and he followed me into the back of this alley and we started fighting.

I hit him once, and he called over to a bunch of guys in the parking lot. One guy spoke a little bit of English and asked what was going on. I told him the guy wanted to start a fight with me. I wasn't sure what his problem was, but I had no problem fighting him one on one.

The group of guys brought us onto a monument with a fountain and everything, and we had a big crowd of people around us. I obviously kicked the crap out of the guy and ended up dropping him on his shoulder on the cement and breaking his collarbone. The guy was like, 'OK, OK, you win.' The guy who spoke English said, 'Kid, get out of here.' During the fight, I lost my sandals, shirt, and hat. So I'm looking around for that stuff, while people are just watching, and the guy says again, 'Get out of here. Get out of here.' And I'm like, 'Dude, settle down. I'm just finding my shit.'

Like four minutes later, I get a cheap-shot in the back of the head with brass knuckles. I turn around and some guy says, 'One on one,' but it turns out he was being sarcastic. Another guy comes at me with a bottle, another guy picks up a rock, so I'm fighting these three guys, and I'm kicking the guy with the bottle and the rock, and the guy with the brass knuckles is rabbit punching me on the top of the head - seven different spots on my head needed to be stitched up later. There were gashes, so I'm pouring blood. I run back into the club, and at this point, I realize that the three guys who came after me were bouncers.

So, I'm running onto the dance floor, trying to get away from these guys. I trip up, fall on my back on the dance floor, and I'm surrounded by a ton of bouncers. Who knows what they think - they don't know what's going on. They just see me running around the club all bloody. I'm getting kicked and shit, and it starts a little riot in there. This girl that I was with got a bottle broken over her head and had to get stitches in her face.

So, I finally get out of crowd, and I go to the back in an open area. I get up on a staircase and I'm fighting off guys, jump back down, and then there's a dance floor, and on the other side, there's a seating area near the door.

I go into a dead sprint to the front door. I elbow the guy at the door, and then just take off running away from the club. There's a main strip nearby with all sorts of stores. Some of them are locked up, some of them have people sitting in front of them - they pay people to sit there and watch the store.

I ran past a Billabong shop, so I stop and go back in. But there's some guy trying to stop me from going into the store, because that's their job, and I'm pushing past, yelling, 'They're trying to kill me! They're trying to kill me!'

So I get to the back of the store, and I'm trying to catch my breath, and in come those three guys again. Now, one of them has a shoe hammer, and I'm like, 'Fuck!' I seriously thought I was going to die at this point. I'm fake begging, like, 'Please, please don't kill me!" And they're all mocking me by saying, 'One on one. One on one." The guy with the hammer comes at me. I overhand right him and then just run to the door and go back towards the club, because if I go further out in the other direction, no one will be there to help me.

I'm sprinting bare-footed on the cement. I'm all fucked up at this point. I see a taxi right in front of the club, so I jump in and yell, "Go, go, go!" The driver is freaking out because I'm bleeding everywhere. I have long hair that's completely soaked in blood, my clothes are completely soaked, so I basically tell the guy to go, and in the meantime, the fucking taxi gets attacked.

I'm trying to find the lock to the door, but they open the door before I have a chance to get to the lock. The taxi driver gets out, so at this point, I think the taxi driver turned on me, and I'm like, "What the fuck, man?" Then some guy grabs me by the hair and hammer fists me, and I thought for sure I'm going to die.

I mean, at this point. I'm definitely going to die.

Then some Europeans and some people from Bali start pulling people off the car. The taxi driver jumps back in and we fucking take off. There's one guy following us on a motorcycle. I tell the taxi driver to pull over, and he pulls over, and I get out of the car, and I ask what he's following me for? And he goes, 'Are you OK? Are you OK? Do you need any help?' I say I'm fine, and he's like, 'Where are you staying?' I tell him, 'Don't worry about it, just get out of here.' And he took off.

So I went to the one hospital, and they thought I had fractured my skull in two spots so they sent me to a different hospital. Then I had like six or seven different spots on my skull sutured. The bill was like $35. I didn't have a major fracture or brain damage or anything like that - the damage was pretty minimal, considering what had gone on. I had a hematoma on my leg that's now a dent, and my legs were all jacked up - my feet and my back were all scratched up from being on the ground. But, you know, that was it, man. I flew all the way back to America, and then the next day I flew out to Japan. Mark Coleman was there, and as soon as he saw me he's like, 'What the hell happened to your head, man?'

Ik ben wel erg benieuwd wat Shields gaat doen in het main event. Koch vs. Brookins is ook een leuke match-up. Verder hoop ik dat Shamar Bailey flink op zijn plaats gezet wordt door Dunham. De rest kan me gestolen worden.

Maar goed, meestal zijn zulke events juist het meest spectaculair.

Heeft een van jullie de film Warrior al gezien?

Ik ben er afgelopen woensdag naartoe geweest met een paar vrienden, en ik vond het echt een hele sterke film! Ik zie in reviews dat hij vaak vergeleken wordt met The Fighter en Raging Bull, maar ik vond deze film veel sterker dan The Fighter. Niet omdat ik meer met MMA heb dan met boksen, maar omdat deze film veel meer 'low key' was: geen enkele rol was flashy, en elk personage was erg goed uitgewerkt. Het acteerwerk van Hardy, Edgerton en vooral Nolte was heel sterk.

Het MMA was niet 100% zoals het in het echt was, maar kwam wel zo goed mogelijk dichtbij als je van een Hollywood-film mag verwachten. En dat Anthony Johnson een Middleweight speelt, bewijst dat film soms nog realistischer is dan de werkelijkheid
