The last time we talked about Ray Sefo, he was telling a story of the day he almost fought Alistair Overeem in a breakfast buffet in Japan. Story goes that Ubereem confronted Sefo at the table of a hotel restaurant to ask Ray why he cheered when Badr Hari defeated him at the K-1 Grand Prix in 2009. Ubereem told Sefo that 'he was next on his list' and Sefo told Alistair that he already contacted FEG about fighting him in an upcoming card. Apparently the conversation became so heated that their entourage had to separate the two.
Now in a strange twist of events, Ray Sefo and Alistair Overeem are linked once again, only this time they're both out an alleged six-figures a piece. Check out what Ray Sefo said tonight on Tapout Radio regarding K-1 owing him and Golden Glory an enormous amount of money.
"At this point they still owe me $700,000. From what I heard they're having some major problems. Their situation still hasn't changed. So it's still a waiting game, whether we're going to get paid or not. Like I've said to them after the last fight, I said 'Listen man, I am not fighting for K-1 ever again until this money is paid' -- I hear a lot of staff members, someone that worked for them for the last fifteen years just resigned. Right now, the email I got was that all further communications will go through Tanigawa, well the guy doesn't speak English so how are you going to be able to communicate with us?"
"The biggest problem is we go after them legally and they go bankrupt, then I'm stuck with attorneys' fees. Then it's a lose/lose situation."

Anderson Silva and Vitor Belforts recent fight generated a level of coverage never seen before in the Brazilian media. It captured a mainstream audience, with the event being reported on even by regular daily newspapers and TV programs. a boom for the mixed martial arts in Brazil which is still being talked about.
As if to underline that, Belfort appeared on UFC Sem Limites this week - an MMA program broadcast on RedeTV - to explained how he was caught by surprise by the Silva front kick which knocked him out early in the round.
The unique thing I did badly in that fight was not moving, [standing still] for too long. In the moment that I stopped, I didnt expect that he could land with that kick. Nobody, not even himself, expected that. He was shocked by the way he landed the kick and with the result of it.
"But I was doing very well and trained very hard. All the Brazilian and American fans, people from the whole world know how much I dedicated myself for that fight. I came from injury but I didnt feel scared to face him.
"On the contrary, I was in the fight but then that hit landed by chance. I believe what happened was just a one-off moment he had in the fight. He made the most of that and conquered the victory.
"I dont believe in luck. The more you train the more luck you have, but certainly that was a hit that he will land once out of one thousand attempts. I would like to get the rematch to be sure. Als je zegt dat Fedor wellicht bewust van Werdum verloor dan sla je de plank mis. Zijn management echter is niet zo kien op vechten tegen Overeem, maar Fedor zelf is een warrior en zal het gevecht niet uit de weg gaan.

Belfort moet eerst maar een wat mensen verslaan in MW divisie wil hij een rematch krijgen.
Hij maakt al een hele grote fout door de eerste 2 minuten af te wachten en aftasten, daarmee speel je Anderson recht in zijn handen want hij wilt altijd 1 a 2 min zijn range aftasten, bestuderen hoe zijn tegenstander beweegt en dan komt hij op gang.
Mocht je rematches of rubbermatches winnen is vaak wel beter voor je legende status maar aan de andere kant mocht hij ook van Okami winnen (wat ik denk dat hij gaat doen) en je gaat eruit met 14-0 of 15-0 perfect record.. is ook ziek.

Alistair tegen Fedor is ook niet meer zo van belang op dit moment. Alistair is bezig om te bewijzen dat hij de beste HW is en Fedor moet zich terugknokken van 2 nederlagen. Als Alistair blijft winnen voorlopig dan zie ik de match niet meer gebeuren. Als Alistair verliest wel. Uiteraard verloor Fedor niet expres van Werdum. Hij had een legendarische win-streak en onaantastbare status.

@Opgezwollenlever: A. Silva vs Jon Jones is erg onwaarschijnlijk, Anderson heeft aangegeven niet tegen hem te willen vechten 'because we are friends'. Volgens mij durft hij nauwelijks, Jon Jones is voor iedereen in de MW en LHW divisie gewoon een bad matchup. GSP vs Silva zou ik graag willen zien, ik denk dat Anderson hem wel de baas is.

Tot nu toe zijn de gevechten niet echt spectaculair te noemen.. Er zijn sowieso sinds Ryan Bader in seizoen 8 niet echt veelbelovende winnaars geweest. Alleen Brookins kan eventueel nog wat worden, maar de rest is hooguit middenmoot.

Klopt. Het laatste seizoen dat echt veel talent had, was seizoen 5 met Maynard, Diaz, Lauzon, Wiman en Miller. Niet allemaal wereldtoppers, maar wel goed genoeg voor een vaste plek in de meest talentvolle divisie van de UFC. Ik vond seizoen 5 ook meteen by far het leukste seizoen.quote:

I know he got some heat about tapping quickly and wanting out. I 100% agreed at the time that he tapped quickly but once we got back to the room things changed. We got back and we learned Charlie had popped his shoulder and tore some things in his shoulder. One must keep that in mind when they watch the end of the fight. I dont think Charlie tapped too quickly from the choke but rather was dealing with a lot of pain as well as being choked.
