1304: Libyan sources have told the pan-Arab newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat that Col Gaddafi has turned to the rebel Transitional National Council to secure his departure from the country in return for guaranteeing his and his family's safety. 2:59pm: Salah Elwafi is a Libyan in Tripoli who says he supports Colonel Gaddafi. He has told the BBC that people are starting to feel more secure in the city: It feels secure and safe here. Roads are being patrolled by the government army officers and their volunteers. There are check points on the streets, as normal. This city is definitely under the control of the regime but its difficult to gage whats happening in other cities.
2:49pm: More now from the doctor in Misrata who spoke to the BBC World Service. He said the fighting on Sunday was very serious, and that he had never seen anything like it. We had 22 dead and more than 90 severely injured. Weve had kids as young as two and a half years die, people over 70 years old die, he added. Yesterday, they were shooting everything homes, mosques, drugs stores They even used their ambulance to shoot people.

Ik was gisteren trouwens vlak in de buurt van de amerikaanse airbase Spangdahlem...
mochten er bombardementen op Libie komen verwacht ik zeker dat spangdahlem er een rol in speelt (bv met de bombardementen op Servie was dat ook zo, ok toen heb ik daar de bombers horen en zien vertrekken wat een behoorlijke indruk maakte)..
Iig was er vol bedrijvingheid met iedere 15-20 minuten een volgeladen C-17 die er aankwam (dat hoor je wel)..
