Ik zit een stukje van de rode loper show te kijken bij E!. Daar hebben ze één of andere glamcam en dan kan je een actrice in 360 graden zien met haar jurk. Erg boeiend allemaal.

The Artist wint nu ook de PGA-award. Als ze volgende week ook nog de SAG-ensemble award winnen, dan is de race voor beste film gewoon over (voor zover dat nu al niet het geval is).

Ik denk dat ze Brooks gaan negeren bij supporting en hoop stiekem dat Pitt genomineerd worden voor supporting ipv. lead, maar dat is niet realistisch. Verder vind ik een regie-nominatie voor Woody nogal overdreven, maar hij maakt wel een kans uiteraard. Stiekem hoop ik wel op wat verrassingen vanuit het Drive en/of A Separation kamp, maar die kans is klein.

Awards die op zich niet zo heel veel voorstellen, maar wel een voorbeeld voor de Globes, Oscars en BAFTA's van hoe awards er horen uit te zien. Ik mis Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Drive en Shame als beste films. Fassbender als beste mannelijke hoofdrol voor Shame en voor diezelfde film Carey Mulligan als vrouwelijke bijrol (of voor Drive in het kader van 'ze heeft het dit jaar best wel aardig gedaan'). Ondanks dat het te verwachten was, had ik een kleine hoop dat Hugo niet als beste film genomineerd zou worden en toch zeker niet voor de categorie Best Writing, Screenplay Based etc. Ach, het had nog erger kunnen zijn.
Leuk dat Melissa McCarthy is genomineerd voor Bridemaids al zal ze waarschijnlijk niet winnen. En ik hoop dat Michelle Williams + George Clooney na de GG ook de Oscar pakken
