Volgens mij ligt dat hier gewoon aan een slecht gekozen achtergrond. Je moet wel een heel lichtsterke lens hebben om al die takjes mooi egaal onscherp te krijgen - zeker op 23mm.
Het is idd ook wel een draak van een achtergrond, met al die takjes. Ben benieuwd hoe de concurrentie het ervanaf zou brengen met zoiets.

Even door de fellere kleuren van de X100 heenkijken.... Ik weet wel wat mijn voorkeur heeft, puur op deze platen afgaand.

Die wedstrijd is toch al gewonnen vanwege het feit dat je bij de X1 via het scherm foto's moet maken.
Door de X1, of de X100? En die vergelijking vind ik een beetje ruk als je die X100 in velvia-modus zet. Dat geeft meteen al een compleet ander beeld, beter had ie beide camera's in neutrale stand gezet.

Ik vind de X1 beter dan de X100 in die foto's. Felle kleurtjes kan ik ook wel uit de X1 krijgen met nabewerking (niet dat ik dat wil). De X1 is IMO beter qua dynamic range, scherptediepte & bokeh.

Hoe duur de viewfinder ook mag zijn die je er uiteindelijk op zet - de hybride versie van de x100 schijnt echt heel fijn te werken. Dat lijkt mij een veel groter pluspunt dan kleine verschillen in beeldkwaliteit.
Ja dat vind ik dus zo suf aan die vergelijking, hij had die X100 op 'default' moeten zetten. Op deze foto's lijkt er op de foto's van de X1 inderdaad meer detail in te zitten, maar je kan nu niet zeggen of het aan de camera ligt, of aan de 'velvia' setting.quote:

Overigens schijnt die X1 qua autofocus nog trager te zijn dan een Sigma DP1

Mja, geen ervaring mee, maar er komt een firmware update aan die de AF snelheid verbeterd.

als hij maar scherpstelt. Dit soort camera's zijn er ook niet op gebouwd om sport mee te fotograferen of vogels ofzo. Dat ze dan niet zo snel zijn ... tsja. is jammer, maar geen doodzonde.
voor mij is het eerder belangrijk dat ze met weinig contrast nog een beetje snel kunnen scherpstellen...

Vooral Nikon denk ik. Hun belangrijkste fabriek - voor het pro-segment althans - staat in (of net buiten) Sendai. In het getroffen gebied dus.quote:

Ze zeggen dat de materiele schade meevalt, maar ik denk dat ze weer heel hard aan het downplayen zijn.

Er is een voorstel gedaan en daar komt Fuji maandag op terug. 2 zijn er iig al verkocht, waarvan 1tje voor mezelf. Daar mag FOT best wel even mee spelen zeg maar

I have just started a two week-long field test of the Fujifilm Finepix X100, currently the hottest new camera, and one that is in very short supply world wide. Today's Home Page photograph was taken with it just this morning, my first day out shooting with the camera.
I don't know if it was the camera, or simply some good luck, but a two hour walk yielded four portfolio-grade images. Remarkable.
How is the camera? First impressions are that image quality is spectacular, including the lens and the sensor. The user interface at first appears to be ideal, with traditional manual controls for exposure. But, once you have to use the rear control wheel and menus the cursing starts.
My review will appear here in about two weeks, after my drive back to Toronto from Mexico. I plan on shooting extensively with the X100 along the way. Some interface issues notwithstanding, the X100 looks like a winner.
