NEW YORK - Nederland staat op de achtste plek van lijst met beste landen ter wereld om te leven. De ranglijst van het Amerikaanse blad Newsweek wordt aangevoerd door Finland.

Voor de samenstelling van de top 100 werd gekeken naar onderwijs, gezondheidszorg, economie en de politieke situatie in het land. Ons land scoort op deze punten gemiddeld hoger dan bijvoorbeeld de Verenigde Staten en Duitsland. Vooral ons liberale scholingssysteem wordt geprezen.

In de toptien staan maar liefst Europese landen.
