Sarah Jessica Parker says the surrogate mom carrying the actress’ twins is a strong woman who made “an incredibly generous and gracious choice.” But Sarah Jessica now worries that this strength is being put to too much of a test from the media attention following the announcement that the Sex and the City star and husband Matthew Broderick are expecting twin girls in July.

“On a daily basis, on an hourly basis, I am greatly concerned for her health and safety and the safe delivery of our children,” Sarah Jessica, 44, tells Access Hollywood in an interview that aired Tuesday. “I am incredibly outraged by the sort of extraordinary and unprecedented invasion of her privacy. She’s [okay] today, but she’s had a bad week in the very recent past… You understand what stress, worry and fear and being scared can do. She’s quite far along in this pregnancy and she’s carrying two children…. There’s simply no excuse for doing this to somebody. It’s not acceptable.”

The actress alleges that the surrogate, along with her friends and family, have been subjected to threats and harassment by the tabloid media. “Obviously there are those that don’t care about her, or her health, or safety, or my children’s health and safety, and that they should go to term and not go into an early labor and, God forbid, suffer all the things that can happen — that is a real possibility,” she says. “Every single allegation that I know has been suggested about her is absolutely slander and libel … it’s really incredibly upsetting to think of her so far away and me not being able to do something, beyond what I’m legally allowed to do.”

All this comes at what should be one of the happiest times in the lives of the couple, who turned to a surrogate out of necessity. “We have been trying to expand our family for a number of years and we actually have explored a variety of ways of doing so,” Sarah Jessica reveals. “I couldn’t pretend otherwise. It would have been odd to have made this choice if I was able to have had successful pregnancies since my son’s birth.”
The couple have also explained some of the surrogacy process to James Wilkie, 6 ½. “I’ve been pretty candid with him,” she explains. “I kind of chartered my own course with him because we wanted to keep this quiet and so I wanted to be very careful about telling him so he wasn’t burdened with a secret. On the other hand, I wanted him to have time to adjust to the idea of sharing his mama and his papa. My son is of an age now where he really will be helpful. He’s really excited. He’s very much ready to be an older brother. I think it gives him a great sense of pride. It’s wonderful and I just hope for their safe arrival.”

The actress has high praise for the surrogate. “I’m really comfortable with her. She’s made a really big choice to be part of our lives and I think she’s an honorable person,” says Sarah Jessica. “You can’t express enough how much you think about decisions like this … She’s strong, bright, independent, thoughtful, caring, gracious and generous.”

Donderdagmorgen om half acht is Daphne in het ziekenhuis geboren. De bevalling duurde uiteindelijk meer dan 24 uur, maar met moeder en kind gaat alles prima.

Maurice laat weten dat een geboorte niet alleen een ongelooflijk, maar ook een emotioneel moment is. “Het wonder op zichzelf, het historische element, maar ook een soort opvolging van generaties.”

Mari heeft een grote familie in Santiago de Cuba, zelfs haar betovergrootmoeder leeft nog. Daphne is geboren op de verjaardag van haar overgrootmoeder.

Al een paar uur na de geboorte waren Mari, Maurice en Daphne alweer thuis. Daphne krijgt het gezellig thuis, ze vier halfbroers en zusjes.

AMSTERDAM - Chad Lowe is zaterdag vader geworden. Een woordvoerder van de acteur bevestigt tegenover het Amerikaanse tijdschrift People dat Lowe's vriendin bevallen is van een dochter. Het is het eerste kind voor het stel.

Lowe en zijn vriendin, producent Kim Painter, hebben het meisje Mabel gedoopt. Volgens de woordvoerder is iedereen gezond en gelukkig. Het stel maakte in januari bekend een kindje te verwachten.

"Ze werd wakker met een grote grijns op haar gezicht en ik wist precies wat dat betekende", zei de 41-jarige acteur destijds.



De acteur won in 1993 een Emmy Award voor zijn rol in de televisieserie 'Life goes on'. Hij was acht jaar getrouwd met actrice Hilary Swank.

De twee besloten in januari 2006 uit elkaar te gaan. Een jaar later kwam hij Painter tegen.

Dat Armando een hele lieve papa gaat worden staat voor mij als een paal boven water. Als iemand een geboren vader is, dan is hij het wel. Dat hij nu vader gaat worden vind ik dan ook meer dan fantastisch!


Het huis wordt al helemaal ingericht voor de baby en Armando is inmiddels een ware expert als het aankomt op babyartikelen. Armando is naast mijn broer ook mijn beste vriend, dus je begrijpt dat ik ontzettend blij en heel erg trots ben.



Natuurlijk is de gezondheid van je kindje altijd het enige wat telt als het er op aan komt. Maar je ontkomt bijna niet aan fantasietjes over hoe het is om juist een zoon of juist een dochter te hebben. Ook Armando droomde geregeld weg als hij aan hun kindje dacht en hij voelt zich dan ook de koning te rijk dat Vanessa een meisje draagt! Armando draagt meer roze overhemden dan ooit en zit letterlijk en figuurlijk op een roze wolk, zo blij als hij is!

Wij zijn allemaal samen met hen blij en verheugen ons enorm op de nieuwe Borsato-aanwinst!

„Renzo en Mara verwachten begin december hun eerste kindje”, vertelt Hans trots vanuit Spanje, waar hij permanent woont. „Mijn vrouw Wendy en ik zijn in de wolken.”

Omdat Mara als assistente optreedt in de shows van Magic Unlimited, dat zij met Renzo en Hans’ andere zoon Oscar vormt, moest Hans spoorslags op zoek naar een vervangster. „Er staan al veel optredens gepland in onder andere Frankrijk, Nederland, België en Spanje. Gelukkig hebben we onze dochter Lara bereid gevonden om tijdens het zwangerschaps- en bevallingsverlof van Mara in te vallen”, zegt hij. „Sinds een paar maanden is Lara al aan het repeteren. Vanaf eind augustus neemt ze het stokje bij Magic Unlimited volledig over.”

Mara voelt zich fantastisch, vertelt de aanstaande opa. „En nu is het afwachten totdat het buikje gaat groeien”, glimt hij trots. „Voorlopig zal er dan ook niet worden getrouwd. Renzo gaan nu een nog diepere verbintenis met elkaar aan. En daar is de hele familie Kazān hartstikke trots op!”
