The Killers is een indie rockband uit Las Vegas die opgericht werd in 2002. In 2005 breken zij met hun single Somebody Told Me door. Daarna volgen hits als Mr. Brightside, All these things I\'ve done en Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll van hun debuutcd Hot Fuss.

The Killers gaan voor hun traditionele Kerst-single samenwerken met Elton John.

Flowers was speaking ahead of the release of The Killers’ b-sides and rarities album 'Sawdust', and explained to the Daily Star that they’re hoping to evolve with their next studio album.

spaceman vind ik in de album versie ook prima klinken. Ok niet zo goed misschien als live zoals eerder gezegd, maar dit is wel een bewijs dat die previews een behoorlijk verkeerd beeld kunnen geven!

Ik ben erg benieuwd naar het album en dat ga ik zeker kopen.
Intussen heb ik de nodige remixes gehoord van "Human" en die zijn behoorlijk goed. Strak werk van Ferry Corsten en Armin van Buuren (twee keer Neerlands' trots), maar vooral de Ocelot remix is erg gaaf. Ik heb nog nooit van Ocelot gehoord, maar na deze remix ga ik zeker op zoek naar meer.

Ik ga dit topic vanaf nu maar mijden, het maakt mij enkel ongeduldiger en ik schiet er niets mee op, en dat terwijl ik het gevoel heb dat dit album zelfs niet 'Sam's Town' gaat evenaren. 
Afijn, over 10 dagen kijken of de Mediamarkt ze al in de schappen heeft staan, ze hebben wel vaker cd's in de schappen staan één of twee dagen voor de releasedatum.

Er zit ook nog een kerstsingle van The Killers aan te komen, samen met Elton John, getiteld "Joseph". Ook Pet Shop Boys-zanger Neil Tennant heeft een couplet meegeschreven.

Neil Tennant from Pet Shop Boys has written a verse for the new Christmas collaboration from Elton John and The Killers. Sir Elton confirmed Tennant was part of the recording.
In an exclusive interview with Christo from Australian Radio Network’s The Night Show, “I’m doing their Christmas single,” told Christo on The Night Show. “In fact I’m going into the studio tomorrow (Saturday) to put my voice on the track.” Elton is currently performing in Las Vegas, home of The Killers.
“The track is called ‘Joseph’ and I wrote it with Brandon (Flowers) the last time I was here, and they’ve been recording it all throughout different places in the world,” John says. “I think Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys has been writing a verse, so it’s quite a collaboration.” The ‘Joseph’ single will be released in early December.
Elton had a hit back in the 70s with the Christmas song ‘Step into Christmas and ‘Ho Ho Ho Who’s Be A Turkey At Christmas’. This will be the third Christmas song from The Killers. Last year they released ‘Don’t Shoot Me Santa’. In 2006, they released ‘A Great Big Sled’.

Last week Brandon Flowers asked me to help him write some lyrics for The Killers' Christmas single, "Joseph", which is a duet with Elton John. I wrote the lyrics for one verse and sang a guide vocal of them. It was fun spending a little time in the studio with him and Stuart Price. Neil x
dat ze wat gingen opnemen met Elton John wist ik al, maar dat hier nog 50% van de Pet Shop Boys in zit vind ik alleen maar nog mooier!

Ik heb een paar van die nieuwe nummers gehoord, live opnames dan en dat klonk echt slecht ik hoop dat het nieuwe album wel beter is dan deze nummers en dat cheesy Human lijkt ook nergens op.
