Alhoewel het ook op den duur tegen je kan werken, als je bijv. arrogant gaat doen. Daar moet Biden denk ik wel voor waken.

Edit: bijvoorbeeld het debat tussen Obama en McCain. Ik denk dat het tegen McCain werkte dat hij Obama niet aankeek, toen Obama McCain direct aansprak of een vraag stelde.

Ik denk dat Biden niet met vuur gaat schieten.

Palin schiet zichzelf wel in de voet waarschijinlijk.

als Biden haar serieus neemt wordt ze overmoedig en kan ze een nog grotere blunder maken.
daarom ging ze ook het hardst af met haar reacties op serieuze vragen van Gibson en Couric.
het gaat er uiteindelijk om dat de kiezer haar niet serieus (meer) neemt.

Nee, als hij Palin aanvalt, zullen de Republikeinen, een deel van de media en veel conservatieven dat (hoe terecht de aanval ook is) uitleggen als seksisme. Daar is de afgelopen dagen ook veel over gesproken in de media hier. Het is heel tricky voor Biden.

Daar komt bij: uiteindelijk moeten mensen er van overtuigd worden dat ze niet op McCain, maar op Obama moeten stemmen. Palin is dus niet het doelwit, maar McCain's (beleids)voorstellen.

Ik krijg een deja vu aan de OS2008... Dat decor.

Het mooiste is dat een tv-zender eerder deze week naar Alaska ging, naar het uiterste puntje (vanwaaruit je Rusland ECHT kunt zien). Dorp met Aziatisch uitziende mensen, 150 in totaal. Ze hebben er geen tv en wisten niet dat Palin VP-kandidaat was (wel dat ze gouverneur was). Ze zeiden ook dat Palin er nog nooit was geweest.

Anderhalve minuut, spannend.

Voor de mensen die MSNBC kijken en zich afvragen waarom Chris Matthews vaak erg pro-Obama klinkt: dat klopt. Hij is Democraat en er gaan geruchten dat hij zichzelf kandidaat gaat stellen voor de Senaat... (mijn stem heeft hij. Niet dat ik hier mag stemmen, maar toch).
