Angle finished the match, but said afterwards that his neck was screwed up bad and that he was going to have to go back to America to get the injury checked out. At the PPV, he said he wanted to wrestle, but his doctor told him that if he didn't rest up, the next neck injury could signal the end of his career. According to a source within TNA, Kurt Angle's injuries are very real and they are "waiting on a long term diagnosis". TNA knew Angle was hurting but as late as Saturday hoped that he would be able do the one match and then take time off. It wasn't until Sunday afternoon that it was clear to them that he couldn't safely do it.

-- American Gladiators is holding off Matt Morgan's debut on the show for a few more episodes to keep people waiting for his "beast in the cage" gimmick. Morgan debuts on the show during Episode 6, which is scheduled to air on Monday, June 16. That is of course if the show doesn't get canceled by then.

-- TNA trainers were busy at last Sunday's pay-per-view treating James Storm (lower back), Kaz (elbow), Scott Steiner (knee), and Roxxi Laveaux (stitches). None of the injuries are considered to be serious.

-- This week all of the big television networks have been holding press events to anounce their fall lineups. Yesterday the CW Network presenting its new line-up, which focuses strictly on the female demographic. Their big for the fall is be a re-make of Beverly Hills 90210. An article on Forbes.com mentions that CW Network President Dawn Ostroff took a shot at Smackdown when explaining why they let go of their top-rated show. "It is not a program that is going to break out any more. It is a program that is on the demise. It's also a program that does not fit our brand."

-- Multichannel.com reports that TNT has overtaken the USA Network as the #1 rated cable network in primetime over the past 2 weeks. This has been thanks to the NBA playoffs. USA went 16 straight weeks as #1 to start the year.

-- WWE's website posted a story on Rey Mysterio helping relief efforts in China following the 7.9 level earthquake in the Sichuan province earlier this week. The former World Heavyweight champion was already in China doing promotional work for the compnay when the quake struck. He's now working with AmeriCares for relief effort. -- This week's WWE RAW drew a 3.3 rating, up from last week's 3.2. Although the rating is in line with the average rating the last several shows have drawn, it is the first time in a while that the rating has not dropped from the previous week.

-- The new Men's Journal magazine features Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on the cover and a good interview with the Hollywood heavyweight inside. A caption on the magazine cover says, "THE ROCK IS DEAD. Dwayne Johnson & the art of reinventing yourself."

-- TNA's official website is teasing a "shoot" interview with Sting will air the next three weeks on Impact, starting tomorrow night. The sit-down interview hosted by Mike Tenay will feature Sting "talking about some things he's rarely discussed on-camera in his career".

-- ABCactionnews.com has posted some video footage of Hulk and Linda Hogan visiting their son Nick in prison on Sunday afternoon. Due to the fact that the prison staff felt Hulk and Linda's presence would cause a commotion, they got the entire visitation room to themselves.

-- TNA officials first approached Roxxi Laveaux and likely other women to see who was willing to have their head shaved bald for the makeover battle royal at TNA Sacrifice. Had everyone objected, they would not have ordered anyone to go through with it. Although, one source is saying that Laveaux was cool with the idea and agreed to go through with the head shaving without much hesitation.

-- Considering that the TNA Knockouts frequently draw the highest-rated segments on Impact (Velvet Sky & Angelina Love in particular), TNA plans on featuring the women in multiple segments on the show over the next two weeks. The next two editions of Impact will feature two matches involving girls on both shows.

-- Despite Kurt Angle's neck injury, TNA still has plans for Angle to wrestle AJ Styles at Slammiversary next month. Although, there are some people within the company who are concerned with this. They believe that Angle will try to gut his way through the match even if he's not healthy enough. They are hoping that management will look out in his best interests, even if he is not willing to.

-- The ECW website was advertising another Matt Striker "Classroom" segment with Mick Foley as the guest for last night's show, but the segment was nixed come show time, perhaps due to time contraints.

-- In case you missed it on Monday, Candice Michelle was inserted in place of Torrie Wilson in "The World Is Watching" promo that airs before Raw & SmackDown broadcasts. When Trish Stratus left the company in the fall of 2006, WWE replaced Stratus with Torrie in the promo.

-- Rey Mysterio was scheduled to return to the ring from bicep surgery next month. However, the company has pulled him from all house shows in June. No return date for Mysterio has been set either. WWE had plans for Mysterio to return at One Night Stand on 6/1 because its in his hometown of San Diego, but that's obviously off the cards. Additionally, prowrestling.NET is reporting that there is plenty of second guessing going on amongst officials on the decision to allow Rey to opt for a new surgical procedure that was supposed to reduce his recovery time from six months to six weeks. Mysterio acquired an infection during the initial surgery that led to even more procedures. Mysterio opted for a local surgeon that has been sued multiple times for malpractice instead of renown surgeon Dr. James Andrews.

-- According to Jeremy, a spokesman for Jakks Pacific, they have plans to release a Giant Gonzalez action figure with fur in the future. Production will be limited to 500, so it will be pretty rare. During his time in WWE in 1993, Gonzalez wore a bizarre full-body suit that featured airbrushed muscles with bushy hair attached. Jakks has released a Classics action figure on Gonzalez in the past, but it didn't have fur.

Also, WWE 24/7 plans on profiling the "Worst Characters" in wrestling history in the Legends of Wrestling discussion show. En Kurt deed wel nog wat andere dingen toen hij bij TNA was, hij gaf gelijk al een kopstoot en een angle slam op Joe. En heeft wat brawls gehad ondertussen. Echt 100% rust had hij in die tijd iig niet.
