THE DUTCH JUDICIAL SYSTEM DE-RAILED THE NATALEE HOLLOWAY CASE

The Judicial Courts in Holland allowed conflicts of interest to run rampant through the Aruban courts in favor of Paulus and Joran van der Sloot.


Much has been said about the incompetence and corruption by the Aruban Prosecutor and Police Department in failing to bring justice in the Natalee Holloway case, but the Dutch Judicial system bears equal responsibility. The Dutch judges rulings in favor of the van der Sloot family reek of a good ole boy system that is hell bent on protecting their own nationality over foreigners who innocently get trapped in their criminal justice system.

A SERIOUS CONFLICT OF INTEREST

The courts in all of the Netherland Antilles are managed and executed from Holland, where judges are sent to the islands to preside over the judicial proceedings of Aruba, Curacao, and Bonaire. Paulus van der Sloot, father of the prime suspect in Natalee Holloway’s disappearance, was a judge-in-training in this very judicial system, working alongside and making the acquaintance of the judges in the Dutch system. Indeed, it has been reported that some of these judges were very close friends outside the official duties of the courts.

MANSUR:Of course, they were friends. It stands to reason they were friends because Paul Van Der Sloot had many friends within the police department; he had many friends within the Department of Justice. And he had many friends with -- and he was friendly with all the judges in Aruba. He worked out of the same office as they did and did the same work.

Such a close working relationship with the Dutch judges during his training created an obvious conflict of interest when his son, and he himself, became implicated in the disappearance and very possible murder of Natalee Holloway. The Dutch Judicial system in Holland should have recognized such an obvious hazard to justice but chose to do nothing, allowing friends and acquaintances of van der Sloot to preside over the court hearings of both Paulus and his son.

The outcome of the judges’ rulings in the Natalee Holloway case have cast a dark shadow over the Dutch judicial system. It should be noted that Paulus van der Sloot was also arrested in the case for conspiracy to commit murder, and these same judges ruled on his case as well. The end result, as one might expect, is that both van der Sloots were freed from prosecution. It is apparent from all the rulings in the case that the Dutch cannot police their own, justice be damned.


CHOOSING THE CURACAO JUDGES WAS A PUBLIC RELATIONS CHARADE

Two weeks into the the court process in this case, the Arubans announce that they were going to use Dutch judges from Curacao to make all of the court rulings so as to avoid a conflict of interest. The judges would be flown into Aruba to court hearings concerning Paulus van der Sloot, Joran an der sloot, Deepak Kalpoe, Satish Kalpoe and any others the prosecutor and police arrested.

We now know this was nothing but a charade. Bringing in the Dutch judges from Curacao was no different than using Aruban judges. There aren't that many judges on the islands, and they all work closely together within the same judicial circlies. Paulus van der Sloot trained under the Curacao judges just as he did those in Aruba and it has been reported that at least one of them stayed at his home while visiting the island.

The islands are closely located geographically and all work under the same Dutch court system. Why the judicial authorities in Holland didn't recognize this and demand a team of un-attached judges rule on such a high profile case is highly questionable.


JUDGE ROBERT WIT OBSTRUCTS THE GATHERING OF EVIDENCE

Joran van der Sloot was arrested on June 9, 2005 and a search warrant was issued for a complete search of the Van der Sloot residence and property five days later on June 14th. When the prosecution and police teams arrived to search the home they were met at the door by Dutch judge Robert Wit who summarily change the search warrant on the spot to exclude the Van der Sloot main residence and grounds, limiting the search only to Joran’s small apartment in the back of the house.

Judge Wit blocked the search of the van der Sloot residence even though he knew through Joran's police statements that he said he was in the main house in the early morning hours when he returned home after supposedly dropping Ms. Holloway off. In other words, Judge Wit ignored testimony by a key suspect to obstruct the collection of evidence from the suspect's residence.

Joran was arrested twice and his father was arrested once in the first month of the investigation. The main residence of the Van der Sloot home was never searched after either of these arrests.

BETH: Well I think they will always have to look at there were two personnel involved from the Aruban Justice Department and that is why we don’t have any evidence and that’s what Joran’s attorney will have to be reminded of. It’s because of Bob Witt and Ben King stopped the search warrants. It was made to initially search the entire area of Montanja 19 the garden, the buildings and everything but on the spot high ranking employee of the Justice Office Bob Witt reduced the search warrant to only the room of Joran so that’s why we don’t have any evidence because of involvement of the obstruction from the Aruban Justice Department personnel.


Judge Wit did this knowing that Joran had given statements that he was in the main house the night and morning Natalee Holloway went missing, and there may have been evidence to be obtained within. Judge Wit was assisted by Ben Vocking, a high ranking official in the Aruba Prosecutor’s office who had taken a leave of absence to take care of his friend Paulus van der Sloot during his “time of need.”

But, when the police was on the spot, another high-ranking employee of the Justice office--it was Mr. Bob Witt--reduced the search warrant to only the room of Joran--and that was very strange.

DEVRIES: Yes the police missed several changes to do things right: when they wanted to search the house the door was opened by Mr. Ben King, an assistant of the Procurements Gen. office, the highest justice-office on the island, and a friend of the family who wanted to support the VdSloots in these difficult times… So clearly the search of the house hadn’t been a surprise to the VdSloots. And the police had a warrant for the complete estate but a judge - Bob Wit - who was at the house as well said only Joran's room could be searched.


These are things a Dutch crime-reporter is of course totaly astonished about. Justice Department official Ben King, who later admitted to the media that he was a close friend of Paulus Van der Sloot, claimed he was on vacation and therefore not acting on behalf of the Justice department. It was King who personally informed the search team they could only search the small apartment of Joran Van Der Sloot, located in the back yard of the property just behind the main residence, when they arrived.

Also present at the Van Der Sloot residence was Dutch Judge Bob Witt from Curacao, who was one judge presiding over the case. It should be noted that Paulus Van der Sloot was a Dutch judge-in-training at the time of Natalee Holloway’s disappearance.

By limiting the search of the van der Sloot residence and property, Judge Wit obstructed justice by inhibiting the collecting of evidence and should be removed from the bench, and charged with this crime, before he causes even more damage within the Dutch judicial system.

We will also note here that two innocent black security guards were arrested for the crime four days before Joran was detained. The judge did not limit the search when they were paraded before the media while the Prosecutor and Police ransacked their full residences. The two guards were later released but not before the Dutch judge had made sure their lives were made miserable.

How ironic that the Dutch judges had no consideration for two black security guards who were arrested for a crime they had nothing to do with, and yet had time to block the search of a fellow white Dutch compatriot whose son, Joran van der Sloot, is still to this day the main suspect in the disappearance and murder of Natalee Holloway.


COLLUSION BETWEEN A DUTCH JUDGE AND THE ARUBA GOVERNMENT

Under Dutch law it is optional for a judge to attend the search of a suspect's house. We found no evidence one had been present at the security guards' homes when they were raided. Yet, we find Judge Bob Wit not only attending the search of the van der sloot home but already in the house when the search team arrives, destroying any element of surprise the authorities may have gained.

At the van der Sloot residence with Judge Wit was a high ranking official of the Aruba Prosecutor's office, Ben Vocking, who served as the Head of the Department of Prosecutor Support. The Prosecutor, Karin Jannsen at the time, is the very person who called for a search warrant so it is safe to assume both Judge Bob Wit and Ben Vocking had inside information into the search and many other aspects of the case. Vocking had taken a leave of absence the day after Natalee Holloway disappeared to be with his friend Paulus van der Sloot in his time of need. Clearly this is yet another conflict of interest between the government and the suspect in the case, Joran van der Sloot.

But the fact that Judge Bob Wit was at the home with government official Ben Vocking when the search party arrived raises even deeper questions about collusion between the judiciary and goverment. Certainly a judge does not go to a home and greet the suspects and inform them of an impending search before the authorities arrive. This would go against the grain of any effective investigation and curry favor to the suspect. Should the judge have not been with the Prosecutor and Police when they arrived at the house? Why was Judge Bob Wit already in the house?

All of this suggests collusion between a Dutch judge and a high ranking official from the Aruba Prosecutor's office to obstruct justice in the Natalee Holloway case.


JUDGE RICK SMID SHIELDS MAIN SUSPECT FROM PROSECUTION

In a hearing on June 1, 2005 Dutch judge Rick Smid ruled there was sufficient evidence to keep Joran van der Sloot in detention for an additional 30 days. Then in a baffling move, he flies back to Curacao and faxes in a reversal of the ruling he’d made only a few hours earlier, freeing van der Sloot from jail. Within three days Joran van der Sloot was on an airplane for Holland, and to make sure van der Sloot would never face prosecution, the judges gave Joran and the Kalpoe brothers immunity from ever being questioned again about this case.

They were merely implicating each other. And the list of inconsistencies was presented before Judge Smit. The reasonable doubt was there. I don`t have any idea why he fled the island and then faxed a reversal decision. It just is incredible.

Judge Rick Smid was well aware at the time of his ruling that in their police statements Joran and the Kalpoe brothers differed on key events that supposedly occurred that night. Joran had told five different stories about how he got home that night, none of them agreeing with the Kalpoes’ account. Joran had also said in one of his statements that Deepak murdered Natalee and buried her on the beach near the Fishermen’s Huts, a statment that Deepak vehemently denied. One of the suspects even admitted to police interrogators that "Something bad happened to Natalee." the night she disappeared.

They themselves admitted to police during interrogations that something bad happened to Natalee while she was with them, without specifying what ‘something bad’ was! That they admitted to committing sexual abuse against her. ??It is not extensive that the judge who presided over the case and decided that some things were inadmissible. He could be the best judge in the world, but in this case, he made light of and greatly neglected to pay attention to the three suspects’ admissions, since he didn’t even interrogate them about what was left hanging in the air, such as the declaration of Joran at the beach that he believes that Deepak raped and killed Natalee! How did this matter end there? How were the other accusations and counter-accusations among the three suspects not evaluated for their just content?

In essence, there were many differences in the three suspects’ stories which would indicate one or more of them were guilty of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, but Judge Smid chose to ignore these discrepancies. He also used an obscure ruling from the Ponson case that stated Joran’s eduction was of utmost importance—moreso than the murder investigation—which allowed Joran to flee the island and opened the door for the judges from Curacao to land the final blow on the case by lifting all restrictions against the main suspects.

In another move on behalf of Paulus van der Sloot and his son Joran, at the end of July, 2005 Judge Rick Smid ordered the DNA taken from the three main suspects destroyed. Joran van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers remain the three main suspects to this day, with Joran being considered the prime suspect.

Judge Rick Smid is a pox on the Dutch judicial system and should be removed from office. The damage he and Judge Bob Wit did to the Natalee Holloway case is unfathomable, and both of these judges should be punished for their actions.

Furthermore the top judicial officials in Holland should start an investigation as to why these judges who were friends and acquaintances of Paulus van der Sloot were allowed to rule on the court proceedings for both he and his son.


THE CURACAO JUDGES ACT IN UNISON TO FREE THE VAN DER SLOOTS

Three weeks after Judge Smid released Joran under the obscure Ponson rule (which originall applied to a baseball player's right to get an eductaion, a crime nowhere as serious as rape and murder) a panel of three judges released all restrictions on Joran van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers. They were all free to leave the island and never had to return for questioning by the police interrogators again. These judges also knew of the conflicting stories between Joran Van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers but totally ignored them in spite of the fact they suggest guilt.

Did the judge who came from Curacao probably plan take the decisions he took, spoiled the case? With all due respect for the position you have taken, have you seen what happened???The case was resolved in phases the same judge planned: first release Paul v.d. Sloot , then he came back to release the Kalpoe brothers and the third phase he executed now when came to set Joran free because Joran expressed his wish to continue his studies. ??I have similarly not made any accusations of any sort against the Kalpoe brothers; what I have repeated is what can be found in the Polis reports where they started pointing the fingers one against the other! It is in these three phases here that Americans see the corruption of our justice system.

With the ruling in Curacao, the Dutch judges had now accomplished their mission of denying justice to Natalee Holloway and her family. These biased rulings have de-railed the case the Holloway case and smack of corruption among all the Dutch juges in the Netherland Antilles.


THE DUTCH JUDICIARY SHOULD HAVE IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST IN THE NATALEE HOLLOWAY CASE AND SENT A TEAM OF UNBIASED JUDGES TO THE NETHERLAND ANTILLES TO OVERSEE THE CASE. INSTEAD, THEY LET CORRUPTION RUN RAMPANT WHICH HAS RESULTED IN THE CRIMES AGAINST MISS HOLLOWAY TO GO UNPUNISHED.

DUTCH AUTHORITIES IN HOLLAND SHOULD HAVE RECOGNIZED THE SERIOUS CONFLICTS OF INTEREST THAT WERE TAKING PLACE IN THEIR LEGAL SYSTEM AND STEPPED UP TO PUT AN END TO THEM INSTEAD OF TURNING A BLIND EYE TO THE OBVIOUS CORRUPTION THAT WAS TAKING PLACE.


*Why did Dutch officials in Holland not recognize such an obvious conflict of interest in their renegade judges’ ruling for one of their co-workers and friends?

*Why didn’t Dutch judicial officials in Holland immediately send in a team of unbiased judges who had no working or recreational relationship with Paulus van der Sloot?

*Why did the Dutch judiciary sit back and allow a limited search of the van der Sloot residence when they knew from his statements that Joran was in the main house that night?

* Why would a Dutch judge team up with a member of the Prosecutor's office to prevent a search if he did not have inside information into the case against one of his co-workers?

*Why did the Prosecutor's office allow Ben Vocking, a high ranking member of their own staff with inside information into the case, to take work leave in order to assist the suspects in the case?

*If Paulus and Joran van der Sloot were innocent of any crime as they claim, why would a Dutch judge and a high ranking member of the Prosecutor's office be needed to intervene in a search of their residence?

*Why did Judge Rick Smid release all three of the main suspects from further questioning when he knew very well their stories didn’t match up?

*When will the Dutch right the obvious wrongs that have taken place in the Natalee Holloway case and curb the damage they have done to their judiciary system in the world of public opinion?


Natalee and her family deserve justice, and we will not let up until they have it!

There were posts at RWV in the beginning of June from several fifferent people that all told similar stories. Most involved the Marriott,a blue tarp a white pickup and burying Natalee.

It has been a long time since I have read anything about the person that said he buried Natalee or a woman that night/early am. Maybee someone else here remembers more?? It looks like it never panned out or was credible as the person was put in a psychiatric institution. A few blog rumors were going on at that time and I forget much of it,so bare with me if I am wrong on any of this. Art Wood would be the Man to speak to as he interviewed this person several times and I believe he called him Francisco. From the best of my recollection this particular person came forward and said he buried Natalee and if I remember correctly with two other people. One worked at the Marriott and the other drove the white pickup. Last time I saw Art in chat here at BFN he said that he had spoken to friends of this guy and they said he was not crazy. Remember there was also the report of the 3 sweaty boys on the northern end of the island with a shovel adnd we also saw that shallow grave at the national park?? He may have been credible and drugged for two years and doesnt even remember his name anymore for all I know???

His story may have been retrieving her from the dumpster behind the Marriott and putting her in a tarp in a white PU and then helped burying her early on the 30th. Or that may have been the blog rumor that i remember that someone said they saw while on vacation. I think both. You can probably still see the posts at RWV maybee in July-Sept 2005. ALE apparently discounted everything and not many details about any of this. But in the back of my mind I will always think of these rumored bank withdrawls,Francisco's and Junior's story and the shallow grave and the dump. Also three diffrent stories all involving a white PU and a tarp. Remember Dompig's theory was that Natalee may have been moved several times.

This Video mentions a Man claiming he helped buried a woman with a few other men the night Natalee went missing but since has been in a psychiatric hospital. His story was consistent with the Landfill witness with people and cars that he mentioned that happened 3 days later.Also similar to Barbishi

"The day after NH was missing, a person called 'Barbishi' told the story that the night before, he saw three people in front of the HI, with the girls body, and that they tried to take a tarp from one of the water-sport tents to wrap the body, and could not get it down.

Then, that one of them went to the garbage cans at the Hyatt [?] [unclear perhaps' Holiday?], and took the bags out and wrapped the body, put her in a white PU and left. They went out and turned left, towards the light house, and turned off on a dirt road, and dug a hole and put her in it, and threw out the shovel. He also said he told the police, and they send [sic] him on a four wheeler to try and locate the spot.

And he also said he had been threatened by these people. This person who has been seen on the beach every day, has no longer been seen after this, and he was known to be there daily." [end of letter]

The latest information we have in the investigation is that the police are actively looking for a K-Swiss style shoe - size 14 that belongs to Joran van der Sloot. Now the police have information that he lost either one or both of his shoes that early morning in which Natalee disappeared. That would be the 30th of May.

The witness by the landfill tells us that he was sitting in his car and he saw a white pick-up truck drive in, their were 3 occupants and 2 of them got out. Picked up a trash can plastic bag, the black ones, the big ones and they carried it over to where this whole bunch of other bags and rubble was. Now when they were doing that, he says that some blond hair fell out of the bag because the bag was not properly sealed and that he could see parts of human body and then he saw them dig a little among the rubble that was there already and then place this bag there then covered with some other near by lying bags and then put a small pool, plastic pool that babies swim in or bathe in on top of it and then put some more stuff and then walked away. He also told us that there was another car outside of the cyclone fence, looking on. The man in that car stepped out, he stood by the fence and looked at the whole proceeding's. We do believe him because from the beginning he has been reliable with his story and it does fit the description we got from another witness between the Holiday Inn and the Marriott Hotel.

The letter that we received is from the wife of the person with whom this guy was on the beach with between the Holiday Inn and Marriott wrote us because she was getting a annoyed that no one was paying attention to the declaration that this man gave to her husband at the hotel.

I will read it for you... The day after Natalee was missing a person called Barbeshe (Bar-Be-she) told a story that the night before he saw 3 people in front of the Holiday Inn with a girl's body. That they tried to take a towel from one the "walks fence's" (really hard to understand him here - sounds like he says "water sports dance or fence") to wrap the body and they could not get it down. Then one of them went to the garbage cans at the Holiday Inn and pulled the bags out and wrapped the body, then put her in the white pick-up and left. They went out and turned left towards the lighthouse and turned off on a dirt road and dug a hole and put her in it and threw out the shovel. He also said he told the police and they sent him on a 4 wheeler to try and find, locate the spot and he had been threatened by these people. Ik zie de relatie niet tussen het stuk wat jij aanhaalt en je commentaar daarop. Wat heeft mijn objectiviteit te maken met wat journalisten schrijven of politie en justitie naar hen lekken.

Waar die onzin bij Witheet vandaan komt is volgens mij algemeen bekend; uit de grote dikke duim van Steve Brown. En over de documentaire van Renee Gielen kunnen we alleen maar gissen. Het al moeten blijken wat het waarheidsgehalte is, zodra de documentaire getoond wordt. Ook daar geld voor mij dat alleen verifieerbare feiten gelden.

Kort na AP en CNN volgden andere media als de krant International Herald Tribune en de tv-zenders FoxNews en ABC News. Ook zij wijdden uitgebreide nieuwsverhalen aan de Holloway-kwestie op hun websites. Sinds het begin van de verdwijningzaak in 2005 zijn er in de Amerikaanse media in totaal honderden artikelen verschenen over de Amerikaanse Holloway en Joran van der Sloot. Toen ik hem aggelopen mandag belde voor een afspraak, zei hij tegen mij: “Ik ben heel druk met het afronden van een zaak en heb dus geen tijd; binnenkort ga ik voor enige weken naar Nederland, belt u mij eind februari maar. Bovendien houdt u er allerlei theorieën op na en de enige juiste theorie is de mijne.” Ik kan mijn bevindingen dus niet kwijt bij het Openbaar Ministerie. Ook niet bij de politie. Ik heb eerder contact opgenomen met Dolphi Richardson en die zei mij dat de politie niets meer mag aannemen en verwees mij vriendelijk naar het OM. Vandaar mijn telefoongesprek met Hans Mos.

FBI:
De Amerikaanse federale politie FBI heeft het werk van politie en justitie op Aruba inzake de oplossing van de verdwenen studente Natalee Holloway stelselmatig gedwarsboomd. Vooral waar het ging om onderzoek naar haar familie, moeder Beth, stiefvader George ‘Jug’ Twitty – die direct of indirect verstrekkende contacten en invloed, tot aan het Witte Huis toe, bleek te hebben – maar ook de ruim 120 medescholieren en de met hen naar Aruba meegereisde chaperons. “You do your own dirty work”, werd de voormalige politiecommissaris Gerold Dompig, belast met het Holloway-onderzoek, door een hoge FBI-functionaris te kennen gegeven. “Ik en ook de hoofdofficier van justitie van Aruba Karin Janssen hadden niet alleen te maken met de enorme druk van de FBI, die in no time op het eiland was, wij werden ook tegengewerkt en er was zelfs sprake van regelrechte bedreiging.” Dompig, die tot mei 2006 – toen hij naar eigen zeggen zelf opstapte – het onderzoek leidde op Aruba, en drie anderen, spreken zich uit. Ieder van hen heeft een eigen rol en waren er vanaf het begin bij nadat het toen achttienjarige meisje uit het rijke Mountain Brook bij Birmingham, Alabama op 30 mei 2005 volgens haar roommates niet meer op haar hotelkamer op Aruba terugkeerde. Ondanks de risico’s die dit met zich meebrengt praten zij omdat ze belangrijk vinden dat ook dit deel van het verhaal wordt verteld. Mogelijk zelfs wel hét verhaal; de waarheid. Een verhaal waar de drie jongens – Joran van der Sloot (op dat moment 17), Deepak Kalpoe (21) en zijn 18-jarige broer Satish (formeel nog steeds verdachten), niet of nauwelijks meer in voorkomen. Dat verhaal werd aan mij veteld en cameraman Dolph van Stapele. Wij vertrouwden het zaakje van het begin af aan niet en vlogen diverse keren naar buureiland Aruba, op zoek naar de waarheid. Het lukte ons bepaalde personen aan de praat te krijgen, die met wat ze zeggen een ander licht werpen op mogelijk de meest besproken verdwijning ooit.

Beth Twitty:
Wij onthullen dat er al heel snel, al een dag nadat Holloway als vermist gold, een medplane (ambulance-vliegtuig) uit de VS landde op Reina Beatrix en gedurende een paar dagen klaarstond op het deel van de luchthaven waar de private jets parkeren. Op zich niets bijzonders, behalve dat de bemanning (twee piloten, een arts en een verpleger) niet weet wat ze komt doen. Ook ben ik en Van Stapele erachter gekomen dat het toestel ongeautoriseerd was neergestreken en niet werd geregistreerd door de Arubaanse autoriteiten, terwijl de mysterieuze landing – hoewel in een officiële, niet-getekende schriftelijke getuigenverklaring aan de politie gemeld – pas maanden later door het korps aan een onderzoek werd onderworpen. Dit geldt overigens voor wel meer verklaringen. En dan nog mijn persoonlijke bevindingen. Ik werd vooral gegrepen door het rare gedrag van Natalees moeder die ik in juni 2005 interviewde in het Holiday Inn Hotel op Aruba voor het Nederlandse televisieprogramma TweeVandaag (tegenwoordig EenVandaag). Toen ik haar in haar ogen keek, wist ik dat er iets niet klopte en vanaf dat moment ben ik in de zaak gedoken, ik wist wel dat ik géén verdrietige moeder tegenover me had. Maar een moeder in grote problemen. Mijn bevindingen als televisiemaker en ingezetene van de Nederlandse Antillen heb ik vastgelegd op videomateriaal met daarop verklaringen van betrokkenen die een nieuw licht op de kwestie wierpen. Het Nederlandse actualiteitenprogramma Netwerk zond het vervolgens uit. Op dit moment werk ik mede naar aanleiding van vorige jaar door Beth Twitty uitgebrachte boek ‘Loving Natalee, the true story of Aruban kidnapping and its aftermath’ aan een documentaire met nieuw materiaal op band. Dat doe ik samen met Dolph van Stapele, Michel Drente en Suzanne Jansen.

Boek:
Het door de moeder van Natalee uitgebrachte boek kan ik het best omschrijven als ‘een imagebuildingverhaal met daarbij een stemmingmakerij van de bovenste plank’. Na het lezen van het boek overheerst in alle opzichten het gevoel ‘dit klopt niet’.” Bij mij hebben de leugens in het boek en heel veel andere twijfelachtige beweringen en gebeurtenissen in de afgelopen 2,5 jaar de vraag opgeroepen: Wilde Beth wel dat Natalee gevonden zou worden?” Het is mij opgevallen dat Natalee nooit op de officiële vermissinglijst van de FBI heeft gestaan. En waarom is de tape van het Holiday Inn waarop een blonde vrouw te zien was, niet naar het Forensisch Instituut in Rijswijk gegaan? Omdat Twitty had gezegd dat het Natalee niet was? Mede dankzij de uitzending van Peter R. de Vries blijkt dat Natalee helemaal niet voldeed aan het beeld dat haar moeder Beth graag over haar schepte: de droomdochter, een maagd die nog nooit in haar leven een misstap heeft gemaakt, niet drinkt, niet rookt, nooit met drugs heeft geëxperimenteerd. Het christelijke meisje dat haar bijbelse ideeën op allerlei manieren uitdroeg in vrijwilligerswerk en een voorbeeld was voor alle andere jongeren. Het tegendeel is echter waar. Natalee zou zelfs in een afkickkliniek zijn beland vlak voordat ze naar Aruba kwam. Het meisje zou het ook zo naar haar zin hebben gehad op Aruba dat ze er niet meer weg wilde. Natalee liet zich op een bar ‘belly jellies aflikken’ door de mannelijke aanwezigen, zat blowend op het strand en haar vriendinnen waarschuwden haar zelfs om niet zoveel te drinken. Natalees ‘verslaving’ komt aan bod in een interview, dat ik op band heb staan, met de Arubaanse taxichauffeuse Trina (uit bescherming geen achternaam) – die ook in het boek (als enige taxichauffeur) bij (voor)naam wordt genoemd. Zij vertelt dat als Beths inmiddels tweede ex-man, Jug Twitty, en zijn vriend Mitch bij haar in de taxi zitten, zij vragen of de taxichauffeuse hen naar chollerhuizen op het eiland kunnen brengen. Op haar vraag waarom, wordt geantwoord: ‘Omdat Natalee onlangs in Amerika in rehab zat’.

Jug Twitty:
Over Strategic Communications Task Force die door Aruba was opgericht schrijft Beth Twitty dat deze er was ‘to combat the negative media and to combat us’. Ik beschik over de informatie waarbij een prominent lid van de taskforce dit bestrijdt en stelt dat de taskforce altijd juist getracht heeft genuanceerd te werk te gaan. In het begin heeft de strategic taskforce juist nota bene zich als liaison opgeworpen voor haar. Hotels werden geregeld, haar persconferenties werden gefaciliteerd. Geld ingezameld. Het lid ‘kan alleen maar gissen’ dat Beth de website – die haar vaak ongefundeerde uitspraken en aantijgingen die het eiland schade berokkende, nuanceerde – heeft ervaren als een aanval op haar. Ook dat Twitty bij herhaling heeft beweerd dat haar dochter geen bankpas bij zich had, ‘want die lag in haar slaapkamer in Alabama’ vind ik allemaal bijzonder vreemd. Dit terwijl Jug Twitty – stiefvader van Natalee, van wie Beth intussen ook gescheiden is – en een vriend in een taxi bespreken dat Natalee na haar verdwijning tweemaal geld heeft opgenomen waarna ze haar rekening hebben geblokkeerd. In het boek schrijft Beth zich bedreigd te hebben gevoeld door Charles Croes, die als eigenaar van een ‘rental cellphone company’ snel bij de zaak betrokken was en op alle fronten hulp bood. Hij heeft zich volgens volgens Beth voorgedaan als ‘clearvoyant’ en zou hebben gevraagd naar haar seksleven toen hij alleen met haar in de auto zat. Een vriendin zou haar net op tijd gered hebben. Het zijn niet de enige beledigingen die ze hem toegooit. In een interview dat ik onlangs met hem had, vertelt Croes zijn verhaal. En dat is wel even anders. Overigens worden door Croes de banden van Twitty met het Witte Huis bevestigd. Jug Twitty zei tegen hem: ‘Ik heb heel lange vingers die tot in het Witte Huis reiken’. Al eerder bleek dat Beth via Jug Twitty contacten had met Condoleeza Rice, die toen via de Nederlandse minister van Justitie voor elkaar kreeg dat Aruba er een ‘high profile case’ van maakte.”

Verder onderzoek:
Ik durf de stelling aan dat Beth Twitty in de dagen, maanden en inmiddels jaren na de verdwijning van haar dochter maar één ding wilde: Natalees laakbare gedrag en wijze van verdwijning verdoezelen. En daarvoor had ze maar één ding nodig: een zondebok. Dat is mede dankzij Peter R. de Vries voor altijd Joran van der Sloot, de jongen die het laatst met haar was gezien, in gezelschap van de twee Surinaamse broers Deepak en Satish Kalpoe: "hij moet het gedaan hebben!" Joran heeft de fout gemaakt door in eerste instantie te liegen over het achterlaten van Natalee en tegenover de infiltrant van Peter R. de Vries – onder invloed van drugs – voor het oog van het publiek, zijn fantasie de vrije loop heeft laten gaan. Het idee dat Twitty een merkwaardige rol heeft gespeeld, wordt bij mij versterkt door beweringen die zij in de loop van de tijd gedaan heeft. Een aantal voorbeelden. Ze presteert het om in interviews – FOX News, Geraldo – te zeggen dat de Nederlandse overheid gebruik heeft gemaakt van de tragische gebeurtenissen rond orkaan Katrina om op Aruba de verdachten vrij te laten, in september 2005. ‘Rape is not a crime for the Dutch government’, voegde Twitty er zelfs aan toe.” In hetzelfde interview beweert de moeder dat er vijf verklaringen zijn waarin Joran van der Sloot toegeeft dat hij in zijn huis seks heeft gehad met Natalee die af en toe buiten bewustzijn raakte, terwijl deze verklaringen niet bestaan. Als je in je boek schrijft dat je tijdens een vergadering op Aruba met de Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association (Ahata) de opmerking maakt dat het allemaal een cover-up was van Arubaanse zijde en de fluisterende reactie van de toenmalige voorzitter van Ahata zou zijn ‘ja, dat is zo’, dan moet je moed hebben. Terwijl je op je tien vingers kunt natellen dat dit gecheckt kan worden, hetgeen ik heb gedaan. Binnenkort zal ik voor het eerst voor deze zaak naar de Verenigde Staten afreizen voor verder onderzoek.

Dit stuk is toch geschreven door Rene Gielen? Stond bij Witheet.
Staan minstens een paar dingen in die niet kunnen kloppen.
Zo'n schrijfster/misdaadjournaliste is dus niet serieus te nemen.

Nathalee was volgens haar een junk en zou In een afkickkliniek hebben gezeten voor ze naar Aruba ging.
Afstuderen etc. etc. en tegelijkertijd in een afkickkliniek worden opgenomen

Het is kennelijk erg moeilijk voor je om begrijpend te lezen! Ik heb aangegeven hoe bepaalde misdaadjournalisten aan (een deel) aan hun gegevens komen. Een van de belangrijkste bronnen is de politie of justitie en uiteraard hun 'contacten' in de onderwereld. Door de hele goede contacten die zij hebben, komen zij aan materiaal wat andere mensen nooit te zien of te lezen krijgen. Dat is de relatie die ik aangaf; niets meer en niets minder.

Wat Renee Gielen schrijft is voor haar eigen rekening. Als zij bepaalde zaken kan ondersteunen door bewijs, waarom zou dat niet kloppen; omdat de ouders van Natalee dat zeggen. Het zou best kunnen dat Natalee in een afkick kliniek heeft gezeten, echter zonder (hard) bewijs is het niet meer dan een aanname of theorie; in dit geval van een journaliste. Ik hecht aan de theoriën van een journaliste net zoveel waarde als theoriën die door anonieme posters op het internet zijn neergezet...weinig dus.

Rene'e Gielen has told all lies and not one truth and it's proven she has zero credibility. Her documentary is worthless and was written by her and the Van Der Sloots her friends.

Hoezo heeft ze geen bewijzen. Dat ze nog geen bewijzen heeft laten zien is m.i. iets anders. Volgens mij is haar documentaire nog niet verschenen, of vergis ik mij. Ik wil eerst die documentaire zelf wel eens zien voordat ik er conclusies qua geloofwaardigheid aan ga verbinden.

Natalee wordt door haar moeder en de fans van haar moeder afgeschilderd als een engel, terwijl er voldoende feiten bovenwater zijn gekomen dat zij dat niet is.

Dat staat m.i. los van haar verdwijning, want of zij nu wel of geen alcohol heeft gedronken en drugs heeft gebruikt en zich al dan niet tig-maal heeft laten nemen door half Aruba staat los van haar verdwijning. Ook als blijkt dat zij vermoord is, staat dat los van haar 'imago'.

Veel interessanter is het hardnekkige ontkennen van het gebruik van alcohol en druggebruik, terwijl daar al voldoende bewijs voor i. Zelfs Peter de Vries heeft in zijn eerdere show aangegeven dat hij over bewijzen beschikt dat Natalee coke heeft gebruikt. Waarom blijven haar moeder en diens aanbidders zo vasthouden aan dit 'beeld'...erg verwonderlijk.

Tenslotte vraag ik mij af waarom er geen onderzoek is gedaan naar de prive omstandigeden van Natalee. Het eerste wat er (overal ter wereld) gebeurd bij een verdwijning is een onderzoek binnen de familie en vriendenkring. Dat is hier helemaal niet gebeurd; er is direct alle aandacht gericht op het drietal wat haar voor het laatst gezien (zou) hebben.
Op zich niet verkeerd, maar wel erg eenzijdig gezien vanuit het onderzoeksperspectief. Waarom wordt het onderzoek naar de 'amerikaanse kant' zo bemoeilijkt?

Dat Nathalee op dat eiland heeft gedronken weten we allemaal wel. Niks mis mee. Doen al die meisjes als ze voor het eerst op vakantie zijn zonder paps en mams. Zo'n meisje van 18 kan natuurlijk niet én studeren/naar schoolgaan én nog allerlei hobbies erbij hebben in haar vrije tijd én tegelijktijd in de rehab zitten, dat begrijp je zelf toch ook wel hoop ik?

Nathalee is toch echt voor het laatst gezien met die drie jongens, terwijl mams in Amerika zat.
De moeder van Joran, is die verhoord overigens?

Renee Gielen vraagt zich af of de moeder van Nathalee wel wil of ze terugkomt. Ze suggereert dat de moeder van Nathalee iets verdoezelen wil en daarom maar liever heeft dat Nathalee helemaal niet gevonden wordt. Alleen al dit soort suggesties zeggen genoeg over de persoon Renee Gielen. Schandalig echt.
Ben trouwens wel benieuwd naar haar documentaire.
Past ze wel op dat ze geen smaad/laster klacht aan haar broek krijgt?

Als achteraf blijkt dat Joran Natlee inderdaad alleen heeft achtergelaten op het strand, dan is degene die haar heeft meegenomen of vermoord degene die haar het laatst heeft gezien en niet de drie jongens dus.

En overigens Anita van der Sloot was helemaal niet in Amerika, maar was samen met haar jongste twee kinderen in Nederland op bezoek bij haar moeder. Je bent wederom eens slecht geinformeerd!

Ik hou me liever bij de feiten of die nu komen van PeterR, HJ Korterink, Renee Gielen, Witheet, Observer of wie dan ook: feiten zijn feiten en die zijn er niet zoveel m.b.t. wat er gebeurd is daar op Aruba.

Ik weet dat Anita van der Sloot in Nederland was net als de moeder van Nathalee in Amerika was.

Vandaar mijn vraag of zij ook verhoord is. Ik vroeg dat nl. naar aanleiding van het feit dat men het vreemd vond dat de familie van Nathalee niet nader is onderzocht. Snappie.

Ik ben nog steeds benieuwd naar de uiteindelijke documentaire en er staat genoeg op Internet over dat vliegtuig dat veel eerder al op Aruba was dan moeders Holloway in haar boek schrijft. Toch erg vreemd, meerdere getuigen geven dat aan. Dus ik sta er vooralsnog open voor, voor dit verhaal en het blijft vreemd dat de hele Amerikaanse kant totaal onderbelicht is gebleven. Ik houd rekening met de mogelijkheid dat er van alles verdoezeld wordt, en kan worden vanwege witte huiscontacten van de familie H. en zo. Maar ook over deze kant van de zaak komt de waarheid mogelijk nooit op tafel.
