Twee voor mij typische avonturenfilms. Een avontuur vind ik toch iets kinderlijks dan wel romantisch hebben. Met te veel geweld gaat het voor mij toch al gauw richting een actiefilm of drama. De wraaktocht van Maximus in Gladiator is bijvoorbeeld toch geen avontuur?

Nu vind ik the Lion King ook geen avonturenfilm. Maar de reden die jij geeft vindt ik weer echt een voorbeeld van Westerse minachting voor animatie. Alsof animatiefilm niet ook in genre zijn onder te verdelen zijn. En allemaal hetzelfde zijn. Alsof een animatie film niet een avonturen, actie, drama, oorlogs, liefdes, horror, komedie etc. kan zijn. Grave of the Fireflies deed ook gewoon terecht mee bij WO 2. Ik wil niet disrespectvol doen tegenover animatiefilms, want er zit meer werk in dan een 'gewone' film, maar ik vind animatie toch meer een genre dan een vorm.

Mjah ik denk dat de definitie nu toch wel redelijk duidelijk is. Een avonturenfilm heeft een vrij herkenbare structuur: Introductie karakters, omgeving plus aangeven wat het doel is van de film --> de spannende weg naar het bereiken van dat doel --> de uitkomst (wordt het doel wel of niet behaald) + afloop.quote:Op maandag 29 oktober 2007 00:08 schreef NRH het volgende:

Veel films volgen dit schema, maar bij avonturenfilms is deze structuur nòg duidelijker aanwezig, waardoor ze ook erg geliefd zijn bij grote groepen filmkijkers (kinderen, hun papa's en mama's), zeker als er niet teveel actie, geschiet en ander 16+-gerelateerd materiaal in voorkomt
.Wat dat betreft zijn Gladiator en The Lion King twijfelgevallen en haal ik ze vooralsnog er tussen uit. The Lion King is vooral een beschrijving van Simba's onstuimige leven en anders kun je ook veel andere Disney-tekenfilms (niets ten nadele daarvan overigens), zoals Sneeuwwitje, Bambi etc. opnemen in dit tournament.
