Denk je aan film, dan denk je aan beeld. En dat is vreemd, want het is alweer zo'n tachtig jaar geleden dat men besloten heeft dat alleen beeld ook niet alles is. Naast dat men de dialoog bedacht, kwam iemand op het idee om het andere grootse genot, muziek, aan film toe te voegen. Ze noemden het: filmmuziek. Hollywood zag dat het goed was en sindsdien zijn de themes nooit meer uit de cinema verdwenen.

Het staat iedereen vrij de komende week zijn favoriete themes te nomineren en te ondersteunen. Om het geheugen wellicht wat op te frissen stel ik, indien mogelijk, een YouTube-linkje op prijs. Let wel: dit tournament draait om de themes, niet om de soundtracks.

Nominaties met een linkje hoeven niet ondersteund te worden.

Kijk eens aan, dit is altijd leuk voor nieuwe ideeën.

Ik ga er zeker ook een paar nomineren, even een selectie maken. Maar mag je bijvoorbeeld uit een James Bond reeks het main theme nomineren, maar ook nog Tina Turner - GoldenEye? Want de laatste is specifiek van GoldenEye, maar de ander is toch wel inherent aan James Bond.

Bij deze alvast een mooie uitvoering + nominatie: Dr. No.

Vraagje tussendoor over True Romance: de theme is rechtstreeks overgenomen van Badlands (met Martin Sheen en Sissy Spacek), of iig zwaar erop gebaseerd (het is zeker geen toeval), schijnbaar omdat True Romance een aantal grote vergelijkingen trekt met Badlands (jong stel: partners in crime, het hele voice-over verhaal...). En stellen we hier dan wat de beste theme in kwaliteit is, of in hoeverre een theme ons herinnert aan een bepaalde film?

Als het het eerste is, zou Badlands dan True Romance vervangen? (ik weet het: ik ben een nitpicker) Of kan Badlands apart genomoineerd worden?
