Welkom bij het eerste lustrum van de nu al befaamde Fok! Film Top 100. De perfecte therapie voor verveelde dagen tijdens de vakantie. Zoveel goede films en maar zo weinig plek in je persoonlijke lijstje, die uiteindelijk moet resulteren in een top 100 van heel Fok!. Vorige jaren (2002;2003;2004:2005) prijkte Pulp Fiction fier aan kop van de lijst. Zal het verval van de voorsprong wat vorig jaar ingezet is doorzetten of was dit een tijdelijk dipje. Jullie gaan het de komende maand beslissen.
De manier van samenstellen is weer hetzelfde de afgelopen jaren. Dit gebeurd aan de hand van toplijsten die jullie maken en in dit topic posten. Je hebt hier de keuze uit een viertal lengtes, namelijk 100, 50, 25 of 10 films, elk met hun eigen puntentelling, zoals hieronder duidelijk zal worden. Zoek een lengte uit waarbij je geen moeite hebt om die geheel te vullen met erg goede films en niet per se een top 100 omdat dat beter zou staan, met het gevolg dat je heel hard moet gaan nadenken op zoek naar mindere films om die vol te krijgen.

Het wijzigen van je toplijst kan tot aan de deadline van het inleveren. Wanneer je iets wil wijzigen meldt dit dan in een aparte post, want ik zal de lijsten waarschijnlijk meteen verwerken en edits zullen mij dan niet opvallen.
De films in je lijst moeten minimaal feature-length zijn (60 minuten) en mini-series zijn niet toegestaan, tenzij deze in de bioscoop te zien zijn geweest. Ik denk hierbij bijvoorbeeld aan La meglio gioventù. Ik hou IMDb aan wat betreft aanduiding van miniseries. It mag daarom dus wel, maar bijvoorbeeld The Stand niet.
Verder is het niet toegestaan om een film-reeks als één film te beschouwen. Je kunt dus niet de LOTR-trilogie in z'n geheel op de eerste plaats zetten. Wat wel mogelijk is, is om de films ex aequo op de eerste plaats te zetten. De films krijgen dan niet elk 100 punten, maar elk het aantal punten van de tweede plaats, zodat het aantal punten wat jij uitgedeeld hebt gelijk is aan het aantal van iemand zonder ex aequo plaatsen.
Ik zou het erg op prijs stellen wanneer jullie het jaartal van release erbij vermelden en wanneer je zelfs IMDb links eronder zet ben je helemaal een held. Dat scheelt mij weer het nodige opzoekwerk en maakt voor mij ook meteen duidelijk welke film je bedoelt als er meerdere met dezelfde titel zijn.
Hou na je je lijst gepost hebt dit topic in de gaten. Het kan namelijk altijd zo zijn dat voor mij iets niet helemaal duidelijk is, of dat ik een foutje in je lijst heb ontdekt en je vraag deze te verbeteren. Mocht ik geen antwoord krijgen, kies ik de handigste oplossing.
Inleveren van je toplijst kan tot zaterdag 26 augustus 20:00 uur. De uitslag zal waarschijnlijk diezelfde avond nog volgen, maar daar kan ik nu geen garanties voor geven. Net als vorig jaar zal er ook een tweede lijst gepubliceerd worden. de zogenaamde schaduwlijst, die samengesteld is uit door mij geselecteerde lijstjes volgens objectieve criteria.

De lijst is gebaseerd op die van vorig jaar. 7 nieuwe binnenkomers, allemaal voor het eerste gezien dit jaar. Plaats 100 is een beetje een bonusplaats geworden. Hij staat eigenlijk wat plaatsen lager in mijn top 1000, maar omdat hij zo nieuw is, krijgt hij op deze manier wat extra aandacht. Anders had Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl daar gestaan. Dat betekent ook dat er 7 films hebben moeten sneuvelen en dat zijn:

En ja.. Ik heb ook Pulp Fiction op 1.. Is gewoon de beste film. De eerste keer dat ik 'm ging kijken had ik 'm na het bekende mayonaise verhaal afgezet, leek me toen een neppe film... Na aandringen van vrienden had ik 'm een week later toch maar afgekeken.... en bij het einde van de film stond ie meteen bij mij op nr1 van coolste films

Iedereen heeft gewoon veel meer films gezien uit het laatste decennium. En de snobs hebben bij die recente films vaak wel een hoop andere titels dan het standaard jaren '00 gedoe.
Lijst 1: alles tot 1990. Lijst 2: alles vanaf 1990
Reden: in de eerste lijst zal een mooi overzicht komen te staan van de beste films tot 1990. Voor sommige kan dit een leidraad zijn om de klassiekers een keer te gaan kijken. UIteraard zullen in het begin veel andere films er in staan, maar naar mate mensen meer gaan terugkijken, hoe meer standaard de lijst wordt. Hetzelfde gebeurd met de nieuwere films lijst. Het bied een stevige houvast voor de kijker/lezer, enerzijds bevestigend, anderzijds uitnodigend. Na de lijsten van vorig jaar ben ik ook andere films gaan kijken. Ik heb een lijst gemaakt van 25 films die ik nog niet gezien had en ben ze gaan opsporen. Soms komen ze op TV [ zoals recent Meglio Gioventu, maar vaak ook op Canvas of Film1], soms kun je ze DL
Neem nu de spaanse filmzomer op NEd3. Mooie kans om een goede selectie spaanse films te zien. Vanavond is overigens Abre los Ojos van Alejandro Amenábar te zien. Open je ogen kan overigens ook de titel van dit schrijven zijn. Geef je ogen de kans om eens een andere film te zien. Lijst 2 is dan de meer dynamische lijst. Ik zie toch een verschuiving van de geijkte films als Pulp Fiction, Memento, Se7en en nieuwere films krijgen een goede kans. American Beauty, Donnie Darko en Magnolia zie ik als een tweede golf. Lost in Traslation, Cidade de Deus en Sin City als een derde groep. Sommige films hebben een tijd nodig om door alles heen te komen en zullen hun plaatst op de lijst zeker vinden. Ik houd ook van mijn klassiekers, ik bedoel .. Bernardo Bertolucci: 1900 staat hier op 1. Maar er komt zoveel goed spul uit. Lijsten moeten dynamisch zijn. Na het indienen van mijn lijst zag ik: Munich, Hotel Rwanda, SAw II, Syriana, Four Brothers, Matchpoint, The Island, Flight 93, Capote, Lucky Number Slevin, Kitchen Stories en Inside Man. Ze zullen allemaal gewikt en gewogen woren voor de lijst van volgend jaar. Bin Jip komt op Film 1 evenals Milllion Dollar baby. Zo blijven we schuiven en blijven we kijken. UIt de lijsten zijn er nog een aantal films die ik wil zien: Boondock Saints trekt magisch aan me om gezien te worden, The Isle, My Sassy Girl en dan gaan we eindelijk die Kurosawa scoren.
Zo nu een Senseo Mokka en opstaan.....
Niet zozeer dat het een voor filmkenners goed overzicht geeft maar dat het een afspiegeling is van de gehele Fok! gemeenschap. En als je toch nieuwsgierig wordt van iemand anders lijstje dan is dat mooi meegenomen.
ps. De Boondock Saints moet je zeker kijken, weer een meesterlijke rol van Willem Dafoe.
