According to the Kurdish Hawar News Agency, Turkey cut water supplies to Syria around Feb. 23, which subsequently forced a hydroelectric plant at the Tishrin Dam to shut down while also significantly reducing water levels on its associated reservoir. The dam supplies both water and power to key parts of northern Syria, such as the city of Manbij and other parts of the predominantly Kurdish Kobani Canton.

Wordt sowieso interessant om te zien wat de VS gaat doen. Als ze erdogan en zn terroristen niet kunnen beheersen is er misschien een 2e couppoging nodig.

The old city lies on the western bank of the Tigris river that cuts Mosul in two halves. About 750,000 people were estimated by aid organizations to live in west Mosul when the offensive started on this side of the city on Feb. 19.
The Iraqi forces took the eastern half of the city in January, after 100 days of fighting.
A U.S.-led coalition is providing key air and ground support to the offensive in Iraq's second-largest city.

ik denk dat wel dat er wel een deal zal komen dat beide kanten van de turks syrische grens zal bestrijken.

Dat ik een voorstander ben van de Russische interventie en het aanblijven van Assad betekent niet dat ik een fanboy van beiden ben.
Want? Het is alleen een probleem voor de Turken en nog grotendeels imaginair ook. Wat heeft Turkije dit hele conflict nou te vrezen gehad van de YPG? Als ze weer eens gaan praten in plaats van vechten zullen ze er ook in de toekomst geen last van hebben.quote:
