Dat kan ik heel goed ontkennen. Meer actie/sneller/betere CGI =/= betere films. Teveel films vandaag de dag rusten 100% op de actie en CGI zonder enig plot.

Maar het is natuurlijk subjectief. Wat jij saai vindt vinden anderen weer niet saai.

Omdat de gemiddelde Fok!er opgegroeid is in de jaren '80 '90 tot nu.

Ben ik niet met je eens, in hoeverre worden films dan beter volgens jou? Is dat vanwege de technische mogelijkheden? Ik blijf nog altijd kijken naar de mate waarin een verhaal me kan boeien, emotioneren, angst aan jagen, op het puntje van mijn stoel kan laten zitten, etc. In sommige gevallen heeft de computer daar een positieve werking op, maar in vele gevallen ook niet. CGI is - zeker als je naar films van voor de jaren 90 gaat kijken - zeker niet een must om een goede film te creeëren. Saai wil ik het overigens ook niet noemen.

gisteren toch maar eens Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain gekeken. Ik zie hier veel mensen deze hoog in de lijst zetten. Kan iemand me uitleggen wat het fantastische is in deze film? Vond het saaaaai.....

En ja, daarin ook veel jaren 90 films omdat het daarvan zoveel makkelijker is om films te zien dat je automatisch ook meer goede ziet, zie mijn eerste opmerking.

Ander punt is dat de onderwerpkeuze van jaren '90 en '00-films veel aansprekender en actueler is.

Ik kom er nog net op tijd achter dat het weer lijstjes-tijd is, dus ik ga vanavond weer even fijn knutselen. En net als vorig jaar ga ik weer een thema-lijst inleveren: deze keer eentje met 100 films van voor 28 juli 1972. Da's namelijk mijn geboortedatum.

Misschien kan ik dan volgend jaar een lijstje maken met films van na die datum. Maar dat zal me vermoedelijk een stuk lastiger afgaan. Na mijn geboorte zijn er namelijk eigenlijk alleen maar kutfilms gemaakt. Ik weet niet wat voor conclusies ik daar uit moet trekken.

One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest en Cinema Paradiso zijn toch écht wereldfilms om maar eens wat te noemen...
