Johnny Depp's seven year old daughter Lily-Rose is apparently extremely ill and has been in the hospital for the past nine days, with Depp and his long-time girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis, having barely left her side. A source at the hospital says:

"The staff immediately recognised him when he walked through the door. He has not asked for any special favours but just wants the best for his child, like any parent. It is such a difficult time for him but he is hanging in there for the sake of his daughter and the whole family is just praying that she gets better. They are taking each day as it comes. It's been an emotional rollercoaster for all of them and he's been worrying himself silly. He wouldn't wish this on anyone and has been finding it hard keeping it together. He's a devoted dad and is spending as much time as he can with Lily."

ohnny Depp's daughter, who has reportedly fallen ill in England, is "doing much better" the actor's rep said in a statement Thursday.

"We are happy to report that their daughter is doing much better," Depp's rep, Robin Baum, said in a statement. "The family greatly appreciates the continued support and respect of their privacy."

Depp and his longtime girlfriend , Vanessa Paradis, have two children, Lily-Rose, 7, and Jack, 5.

Several British papers have reported that Lily-Rose came down with an undisclosed illness over a week ago and that Depp, 43, has been by her bedside every day.

Depp has been filming a movie version of the stage musical Sweeney Todd for DreamWorks. A studio rep tells PEOPLE: "We have adjusted the schedule to accommodate [Depp's] needs at this moment. We understand that [Lily-Rose] is improving. ... Obviously everybody at the studio is certainly with them in their good spirits."

AMSTERDAM - Lily-Rose, de 7-jarige dochter van Johnny Depp, is ontslagen uit het ziekenhuis. Lily-Rose werd anderhalve week geleden met spoed opgenomen in een Brits ziekenhuis, maar mag nu weer naar huis. Dat meldt The Guardian vrijdag.

Lily-Rose zou er slecht aan toe zijn geweest, maar uit respect voor de familie werd niet gemeld wat haar precies mankeerde.


Volgens de woordvoerder van Depp gaat het inmiddels een stuk beter met Lily-Rose. "De familie waardeert alle steun en is blij dat de media hun privacy respecteert", aldus de woordvoerder.

Musical

De 43-jarige Depp is in Groot-Brittannië voor de opnamen van een nieuw filmproject, de verfilming van de musical 'Sweeney Todd', waarin hij de hoofdrol speelt. Zijn vrouw, Vanessa Paradis, dochter Lily-Rose en zoon Jack (4) zijn mee. Het gezin woont in Frankrijk.
