Ben nog niet heel bekend met Oasis, maar Columbia vind ik momenteel 1 van de gaafste nummers die ik ken; vooral de live versie op Songbird. ;d:
Bronquote:Ringo Starr to honor Oasis
Ringo Starr is to present Oasis with their outstanding achievement award at next month's Brit Awards, it has been claimed.
The former Beatle is understood to have been asked to give the Gallagher brothers the award at the event in London.
Apparently Johnny Depp was set to make the presentation but has been forced to pull out, presenting Noel and Liam with an opportunity to meet Starr for the first time.
Ringo's son, Zak Starkey, is the current drummer in Oasis, having replaced Alan White in 2005 and played on their last LP, Don't Believe The Truth.
The 2007 Brit Awards take place at London's Earls Court on February 14 and will be presented by British comedian Russell Brand.
Scissor Sisters, the Killers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Take That, and Oasis are expected to be among the ceremony live performers.

Oasis have discussed the progress on their new album in this week's issue of NME.
The band, who grace three limited edition covers of the Special Oasis Tribute Issue edition of NME , said they are taking tentative steps towards planning the follow up to 2005's 'Don't Believe The Truth'.
Noel Gallagher said: "Our producer Dave Sardy is coming over for the BRITS so I guess we'll have a chat and kick around some ideas. I've got eight songs that I'm pretty happy with.
"Liam has got one of two that he thinks are brilliant. I fancy doing something more elaborate with this one. It's about time."
Also in this week's NME there's an Oasis A-Z, and an exclusive look at who's playing which festivals this year.
