Ik kijk heel erg uit naar haar nieuwe album van die leuke singer-songwriter pop. Ik vind het jammer dat de albums die ze na 'Left Of The Middle' (bekend van het nummer 'Torn') het niet zo goed deden.quote:New Natalie Imbruglia album in 2007.

Onterecht in mijn ogen. Haar tweede album White Lilies Island heeft het bij ons niet zo goed gedaan, maar er staan best aangename liedjes op (met als hoogtepunt Beauty on the fire). Dat laatste album heeft volgens mij op nr 1 gestaan in de uk, en die shiver single top 10 hit als ik het goed onthouden heb. One hit wonder dus echt niet.

Hier bij de news sectie heb ik iets gevonden het staat onder de titel 'A Quick Note'.
Ze verteld over dat ze de laatste 4/5 maanden aan het 4e album heeft gewerkt en dat ze op en neer gereist heeft van de UK, USA en Australië. En ze heeft met mensen zoals Gary Clark, Daniel Johns en Crispin Hunt gewerkt.
Ze neemt nu een paar weken rust voor dat ze weer in de studio induikt. Het album komt volgend jaar uit en intussen tijd doet ze ook nog andere projecten. Ze schijnt heel veel zin te hebben in het nieuwe album te promoten en live te spelen.
Ze gaat ook meer updates en verassingen op haar officiële site posten in de komende maanden tot de release van het album.

In Juni komt het nieuwe album van Natalie Imbruglia uit. En binnenkort de eerste single die waarschijnlijk "Glorious" is.quote:Biografie:
Net als enkele andere Australische artiesten (zoals Jason Donovan en Kylie Minogue) speelde Natalie ook in de soapserie Neighbours ("Buren").
In 1997 bracht ze haar eerste nummer Torn uit als voorbode van haar eerste cd, Left of the middle. Dit nummer was een megaseller in Groot Brittanië, maar stond nooit op 1 in de Britse Hitparade, het nummer stond wel vele weken op nummer 2. In de 'UK radio chart' waarbij dus naar airplay wordt gekeken haalde Torn wel de hoogste positie, maar liefst 11 weken.
In 2001 bracht Natalie haar tweede cd uit, White lilies island. In het daaropvolgende jaar waagde ze zich voor het eerst aan acteerwerk op het witte doek, door een rol aan te nemen in Rowan Atkinsons film Johnny English - een knipoog naar de traditionele James Bond-film, ook naast acteur John Malkovich. Natalie's derde cd Counting Down the Days kwam in 2005 uit, dit album bereikte de eerste plaats in de Britse album-verkoop, zij het slechts voor een week. Volgens de officiële site van Natalie Imbruglia zal in de lente van 2007 haar vierde album uitkomen.
Op 31 december 2003 trouwde Natalie met Daniel Johns, de leadzanger van de Australische band Silverchair.

Ook ben er net achter dat het nog maar de vraag is of "Glorious" de eerste single wordt kan zijn tweede single Sony BMG is bang voor een flop zoals Counting Down The Days.

Counting Down The Days een flop? Hm, nogal stellig voor een platenmaatschappij om dat zo te stellen, het deed niet wat Left Of The Middle deed, maar dat is logisch. Compleet ander soort pop was het... Bovendien kreeg Shiver niet de hoeveelheid airplay die Torn kreeg...

Hi Guys.
This is my first attempt at a blog but I have a pretty good reason to start......
It seems that an early songwriting demo of one of the tracks from my 4th album, "Glorious", has been leaked by someone, and is spreading over the net.
This demo is both musically and lyrically quite a bit different from the final recorded version of this song - and in my opinion doesn't even compete.
The version Ben Hillier and I have done together is something I am very proud of, and really fits with the growth and progression I am aiming for with this 4th album. Can't wait for you all to hear it.
For anyone who has the demo please bear this in mind and try not to spread it any wider.
Thanks to you all for being so patient. Your support means a lot to me.
I have lots more news for you, but can't quite share it with you yet - more to follow as soon as I can.

Winehouse cancelled yet another gig on Wednesday, sparking more fears for the singer whose weight has plummeted during an exhaustive schedule of promotional appearances and concerts.
The clean-cut Aussie star has been around the block when it comes to the celebrity circuit and said of Winehouse: "I think she's an incredibly raw performer and a very real person and I don't think she's very comfortable with this whole fame thing. It shows.
"She's just got this gift you know, often people who are that talented struggle with all the attention and everything. And I hope she doesn't quit."
With so many stars in celebville going into meltdown it seems Imbruglia is hoping that Winehouse can stick with it and not give up her success.
"I've read interviews where she's spoken about just wanting to be a mum and that's scary to think, that she won't make records."
Winehouse has cancelled gigs in Shepherd's Bush in London, the Oxegen festival in Ireland, T in the Park in Kinross-shire, Liverpool's Summer Pops event, and the North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam citing "exhaustion".

Hi Guys.
Sorry it has taken me time to get this note out but since I finished promoting the Singles Collection I have been in rehearsals for my movie, Elise.
I arrived in Adelaide at the beginning of October and began rehearsing with director, James Bogle, and the rest of the cast. It took me a while to get into the slower pace of rehearsals, after the whirlwind of a record release, but I soon got into the groove.
I have really enjoyed the rehearsal period, and have even had a little time last weekend to see a couple of bands – Grinderman and the Klaxons – both were excellent, and I had a really fun weekend. As I write this note I am looking forward to finally starting shooting on Monday! I am really excited but have to admit also a little nervous. I hope I can do it!!
Well, I better go now and go over the script once more, I will update you again at the end of November when the film is finished and I am back in music mode.
