TOOL VII ; 10.000 Days.

Ik hou me in, tot ik het echte schijfje in handen heb en een auto een paar uurtjes tot mijn beschikking. .

Wil er nog niet aan dat het echt gelekt is, ik ga er stiekem vanuit dat jullie een _{erg goeie} hoax in handen hebben. .

Heeeeeeeeel stiekum denk ik ook dat TOOL dat wel zou kunnen flikken bij de fans, alleen ik betwijfel het. Er werd wel gezegd dat ze hoax-album zouden maken. Ik weet niet meer waar ik dat las maar iemand had dat gezegd. Voor de rest ga ik me ook een beetje inhouden met het luisteren aangezien ik de kwaliteit van de rip erg slecht vind (of het ligt aan mij) want ik vind de gitaar nogal veel teveel naar voren komen ten opzichte van de bass en drums.

Als het een hoax is, dan is het wel een hele mooie. Wat ik hier hoor zijn toch echt nieuwe nummers van Tool. De mix is wat wennen inderdaad. Ik heb overigens MP3 VBR bestanden van hele nette kwaliteit. Die kwaliteit maakt me nog niet zo uit, want ik koop het plaatje toch wel.

nah denk niet dat het nog een hoax is, niet nadat een hoop grote cd-leveranciers al pre-orders aannemen voor 10,000 days...

ik heb nu jambi opstaan en die .m4a extensie is gewoon met de nieuwste full versie van winamp te bespelen, ik had ook versie 2.93 oid en die pakte hem ook niet.

heb nu alleen the pot en jambi gehoord tot nu, maar het klinkt wel tof... en die kwaliteit, het is toch 192 kbps, dus bij mij valt het reuze mee! hier en daar zou het geluid iets scherper kunnen, maar het feit blijft dat ik een nieuw TOOL album in handen heb dus ik ben nu een klein kind die net een lolly heeft gekregen

hoax dan wel ingespeeld door de leden zelf, als het een andere drummer zou zijn doet die hem wel erg goed na! ik denk eerder dat dit een preproductie is, het gitaargeluid is gewoon te direct opgenomen en de drum is ook erg analoog. De zang kan ook op sommige punten beter een echo of iets dergelijks erin..

ja echt goed vergelijken kan ik pas als ik de pre-orderde cd in huis heb 2 mei (alhoewel die wordt verscheept uit Engeland...)

Godskolere, wat is dat Vicarious een fijn nummer zeg!

Maar daarna wordt het wel behoorlijk priegelig, pielerig, semi-experimenteel, maar vooral onsamenhangend, . Hier is het laatste woord nog niet over gesproken ben ik bang. Tenzij de laatste dertig minuten ineens alles goedmaken.

Vind je? Ik vind 't wel een mooi geheel eigenlijk.Zeker niet onsamenhangend. Moet 'm natuurlijk nog een flink aantal keren luisteren maar tot nu toe ben ik erg positief.

Ik mis inderdaad "de liedjes". Zeven minuten lang wat gespace is geen liedje.
Het lijkt soms wel of er riffjes en drumloopjes gerecycled zijn van Lateralus, voorzien van wat nieuwe teksten. Vrij leeg en vlak allemaal. Geen spanning, geen sensatie, geen vlees, geen vis.

Het *moet* wel een grap zijn.
Dat MOET!

Zelfs op toolshed staat al dat de echte gelekt is, dus geen grap lijkt me... Zeer geoeie grap anders, want 2 Tool albums in 2 weken zou ik wel fijn vinden.

Als ik zo die tekst lees van toolnavy.com dan gaat het over die gozer van Faaip de Oaid die in het ziekenhuis is beland en zijn verhaal verteld over zijn ontvoering en dat ie niks meer kan herinneren maar dat ie dat eigenlijk wel wil omdat ze zeggen dat hij de "choosen one" is. Heerlijk vaag.

Ik denk dat ik al weet wat ik morgen ga luisteren in de bus.

Als ik de CD binnen heb rip ik em wel in goede kwaliteit.

Meeste nummers nu geluisterd; vind het heel anders klinken dan het eerdere werk. Ik ben benieuwd in hoeverre dit album gaat groeien voor mij, maar eerste indruk is positief.

Maar de kracht van tool ligt mijnsinziens niet in het maken van wat jij noemt "een groot avontuur" daar zijn anderen veel beter in. Ik vind dat ze moeten focussen op wat ze goed kunnen, liedjes maken.
