Bluebird, de Nederlandse Oscarinzending, is gediskwalificeerd omdat hij al op televisie is geweest.
Die regel bestaat al jaren, dus Nederland is heel dom.

Gelukkig maar dat Paradise Now ook een beetje Nederlands is .

Ze hebben een licht aangepaste bioscoopversie ingezonden en hoopten zo de regel te omzeilen geloof ik.
Er werd geoordeeld dat dat verschil te miniem was.

In Engeland zijn een paar van de veelgenoemde films ook nog niet uit, dus dit is voor ons wat herkenbaarder. Jammer wel dat er blijkbaar niet zo veel Britse films zijn verschenen dit jaar (of ze hebben gewoon te veel 'British' categorieën.)

Ah. In de regels van de Academy staat dat de film "a clearly audible, intelligible, substantive rendition of both lyric and melody" moet bevatten. Nummer waar ik aan dacht is een halve minuut op de radio te horen en de mensen die over de nominaties gaan waren niet tevreden.
