Okay, prettig weekend, deze week hoeven we niets meer te verwachten via de officiele kanalen, daar lijkt het op, het is op dit moment niet eens zeker of er een laatste rapport komt betreffende de zaak, omdat het niet duidelijk is of Fitzgerald, de officier van justitie in deze, hiertoe geauthoriseerd is.
Het congres zou kunnen pushen wat dit rapport betreft, maar die houden hun mond, ook de democraten, vreemd genoeg.

Ik zie niet in waarom Cheney zou moeten aftreden als de naaste adviseurs van Cheney EN president Bush betrokken zijn bij deze zaak. Dan zou Bush ook moeten aftreden.

Het is voor de neo-conservatieve Republikeinen natuurlijk wel een ideale positie om een nieuwe kandidaat voor het presidentschap van 2008 te lanceren. Normaal is de vice-president altijd de grootste kanshebber om de nominatie te krijgen. Maar Cheney heeft al laten weten om gezondheidsredenen het presidentschap niet te willen. Als je daar dus nu een nieuw persoon neerzet kan die zich wel meteen in de schijnwerpers werken. Allowing them to get away with simple perjury over the Plame leak case will allow them to return back to what they know best, how to influence Government policy and advance the elite agenda whilst NOT in power. And Whilst many will wait around the front so to speak, cheering and celebrating this "victory", Rove et al will simply sneak out of the back door.

Whilst we await to see what transpires we have to remember that men like Cheney and Rove are the greedy little power-hungry middlemen for the higher echelons.
