I do not know how they got off advertising this movie as a thriller because it was anything but thrilling, not much of a mystery and had nothing to do with horror. The movie had a good gimmick with the but the writers did not know where to take it from there. The only real special effect they used got old and once again, boring real fast.
starred as and to be honest, the character was believable. His reactions to most of the events taking place were pretty normal. just could not make up for the fact that this movie really has nothing to offer.
It would have been nice to see a bit more of , who played , 's wife. She was definitely a bright spot in the movie but her part was far too small and honestly, her parts with the did nothing for me.
What more can I say? I did not like this movie and can not recommend it. The ending left no real conclusion and was more confusing than anything.
Maybe with better writers this movie could have been better but as it is now

Nee, van deze film had ik nog wel hoge verwachtingen. In elk geval totdat ik zag dat de hoofdrol speelde, dat waarschuwde me wel voor een tegenvaller en dat bleek terecht....
Het concept vond ik op voorhand erg interessant, maar de uitwerking er van viel erg zwaar tegen. Het was gewoon niet eng genoeg voor een horror, niet spanned genoeg voor een thriller en niet interessant genoeg voor een (goed) drama. Dit soort film kan Hollywood beter overlaten aan Japan, of eerst een Japans orgineel afwachten om te kijken hoe het hoort en dat dan proberen na te doen.

Verder speelde ze nog een keer met Orson Welles in een Brontė-verfilming, in een Cukor-screwball comedy en met Cary Grant in een oorlogsfilm.
