The H10 has a "System File Missing" Error Message
These instructions are for H10 players purchased outside of North America only.
There are two situations where you may receive the "system file missing" error message:
In the first situation, the H10 may simply need music files. Please load a music file onto the H10. If the error message no longer displays, your problem is solved. (This issue will be corrected in the release of the next firmware. The latest firmware will be downloaded and installed in your H10 automatically with iriverplus and an internet connection.)
The second option is that the H10 has identified that there is a damaged or missing system file. To solve this:
1. Connect your H10 to your PC and run iriverplus to recover the system file. If you still have the problem, please initialize your H10 by selecting iriverplus -> Option -> Portable Device Initialization.
2. Next download and install the newest version of iriverplus (V1.1.1.6 or higher). (The latest firmware will be downloaded and installed in your H10 automatically with iriverplus and an internet connection.) Once installed, this newer version of iriverplus will prevent any incomplete files from being downloaded and installed in the future.
Incomplete file installations are due to internet connection problems, which may be unnoticeable to users with the earlier version of iriverplus. With the newer version, you will receive a failure message if the file download was incomplete. This will prevent the incomplete file from installing on the player, so you should not have the "system file missing" issue in the future.
