In een interview met Radio Rijnmond was Salomon Kalou veel minder duidelijk dan het interview dat gisterenavond op feyenoord.nl werd geplaatst. Bij bijna elke vraag over een mogelijke transfer naar PSV liet hij weten dat hij daar niets over kan zeggen. 'Jullie weten wel wat ik wil' voegde hij er nog aan toe. 'Als jullie meer willen weten, moeten jullie mijn zaakwaarnemer maar bellen.' Ook over de vraag of hij in augustus voor Feyenoord zal spelen liet hij weten 'ik weet het niet, ik kan niets zeggen. In het voetbal kan je niets zeggen over de toekomst.' Wel liet hij weten zeker in Nederland te willen blijven omdat hij voor het Nederlands elftal wil gaan uitkomen.

Zenden voor twee jaar naar Liverpool

Boudewijn Zenden (28) speelt komend seizoen bij de houder van de UEFA Champions League, Liverpool FC. De oud-PSV'er tekent een contract voor twee seizoenen.

Zenden speelde vier seizoenen voor PSV. In 1998 verruilde hij de Eindhovense club voor een avontuur bij FC Barcelona. In 2001 maakte hij de overstap naar de Premier League en ging bij Chelsea FC aan de slag. De 54-voudig international speelde de afgelopen twee seizoen voor Middelsbrough, waar hij uitgroeide tot een vedette.



De eerste contacten tussen Bolo en de Reds werden al weer een dikke maand geleden gelegd. Dat was juist nadat Middlesbrough zich had uitgesproken z'n ster te willen behouden. Een paar weken daarvoor had Zenden zich nog ontevreden getoond door het bod dat zijn werkgever hem had gedaan.

Spearheaded by Park Chu-Young, Asia's Young Player of the Year, Korea Republic confirmed they have a crop of players rich enough to threaten the traditional world powers at this level. Six goals from Park, including a brace that helped down China 2-0 in the final, steered the young Taeguk Warriors to another regional title at the Asian U-19 Championship.

Park Chu-young Joins FC Seoul

Up-and-coming South Korean football player Park Chu-yong will play for FC Seoul, one of the country's domestic league teams, the club said Monday.

Park, 19, signed with FC Seoul for three years at the capped rookies salary of 50 million won (US$49,900), FC Seoul said in its news release.

Park, who had expressed interest in moving to a European club, may stimulate public interest in domestic K-league football after many of the star players from the 2002 World Cup left to play in international stage.

FC Seoul will try to transfer Park to an European club even though he will remain under contract here, said the club.

His agent, the club and Park's current team, Korea University, have all agreed with the terms of his contract conditions, said the club.

"Joining a professional club in Korea could be a short cut to reach an European club, especially a club in the premier league in England," said Park.

"But for now, the upcoming World Youth Championship is the most important thing to me," he said. "Still, I have much to learn from the K-league."
Park is to play his first professional game against FC Daegu at Seoul World Cup Stadium on March 9, the opener of the K-league's 2005 season.

"I'm not in real good shape now with my right ankle injury, which keeps me out of training," he added. "But I will do my utmost to recover from the injury before the K-league opens."
Park received rapturous acclaim after he contributed nine out of his team's total 11 goals in the Qatar Invitational Championship in January, leading his team to clinch the championship trophy.

"He can play as a mid-fielder or as a forward," said the team coach Lee Jang-soo. "As a clever player as he showed in the recent matches, he will settle on the adult field very quickly."
"I knew many clubs were competing with each other to take him on, but with luck, we succeeded in getting him onboard,"said Han Woong-su, vice president of FC Seoul.

"Although we have spent a lot of energy getting Park, we will try to transfer Park to a broader stage after the FIFA World Youth Championships in the Netherlands in June."

Aanvankelijk werd er al gemeld dat Hoogstrate voorlopig met Emmen mee zou gaan trainen. Afgelopen week meldde het Eindhovens Dagblad dat de middenvelder in het kader van zijn herstel aan de slag gaat bij Veendam. Vandaag weet RTV Noord te melden dat vanmiddag is besloten dat Jordi Hoogstrate het gehele seizoen zal gaan spelen voor Emmen.
