Author and theorist, Walter Cruttenden, presents the evidence that this binary orbit relationship may be the cause of a vast cycle causing the Dark and Golden Ages common in the lore of ancient cultures.

WASHINGTON -- As many as 18,000 people dead. More than $250 billion in damages. Hundreds of thousands of people left homeless. That's not the latest estimate of Hurricane Katrina's toll on the Gulf Coast. That's a worst-case scenario if a major earthquake were to hit Los Angeles.
The figures are hypothetical, from a model published in May by government researchers studying the Puente Hills fault under the city. Scientists warn that there's little doubt a major quake will hit California in coming years or decades, though many scenarios are not as disastrous as Puente Hills.

The permanent government knows this, which is why the statutory, judicial and “law enforcement” mechanisms of a full-blown police state are already in place. Several trial balloons have already been floated. The extra-judicial assassination of an American citizen by a Predator missile in Yemen, the holding of Americans without charges or access to legal counsel, the infiltration of law-abiding activist groups, police riots in Oakland and Miami rampaging against peaceful, non-violent protesters, a dramatically enhanced regime of surveillance, and even the prospect of martial law and a suspension of the constitution after the next manufactured, mass casualty “terrorist incident,” as suggested by General Tommy Franks in a recent edition of Cigar Aficionado. They already have the power. It is just a question of if and when they choose to flip the switch.
A time of great danger to be sure but also a time of great hope and opportunity as well.
We can no longer let a bloated national security state spend 50% of our tax dollars on a program of perpetual war for perpetual peace that has already killed over 8 million people overseas since World War II. We can no longer allow an unaccountable national security state run amok at home and abroad to protect nothing whatsoever except the rapacious and psychopathic interests of the transnational corporations. We can no longer allow an omnivorous national security state to eat the hope of generations to come.
Historically the nation-state has almost exclusively served the interests of corporatism and militarism. We are at a crossroads of the evolution of historical consciousness of a first order of historical magnitude. At the very least, the events of the next five years will determine the course of human history for the nest five hundred. We must find a way to move beyond ignorance and fear and anger and racism and xenophobia and hypocrisy or everything we hold most dear will die – democracy, security, prosperity, the constitution, the impartial rule of law, laughter, joy, and curiosity.
Either we find a way to use the power of the nation-state to immediately establish a universal regime of peace, social justice and environmental sustainability or we will brutally violate the legacy of the unborn and watch in shock and awe as the entire wicked filthy Babylon system goes up in flames, crashes down and shatters into a million pieces.

He sees 8-10 years of violent weather ahead, and in the short term, major quake or volcanic activity hitting somewhere on the West Coast of the U.S. The planet is warming up because of solar changes, he said. Related to this, Deyo shared an account of visiting with a Hopi elder who told him of a prophesied time when the sun will be so hot it will ignite grass.

Toe ik boven kwam en keek, moest ik ineens aan dit topic denken.

Zij zat zo een beetje te kijken en ik had net biertje gepakt en zeg zo tusen neus en lippen door "Goh, doet me denken aan een stukje dat ik laatst op inetrnet las over Mount Helens in Yellowstone Park".
Daar bleek de film dus ook obver te gaan en ze keek mij vrij ongeloofwaardig aan "Hoe weet jij dat, je komt net aanlopen ?"
Normaal heeft ze het niet zo op TRU-verhalen, maar dit keer had ik toch wel ff d'r aandacht te pakken.

Laatst was er een docu op tv over de vulkaanuitbarsting van Mt. Pinatubo op 17 juni 1991... een van de meer gewelddadige uitbarstingen die men heeft meegemaakt. Toen de activiteit op het hoogtepunt was, trok er ook nog eens een orkaan over dat gebied. Was best wel een toevalstreffer...

JEFFERSON CITY — 7.6.
An earthquake of that magnitude wiped out villages in Pakistan Saturday.
The quake occurred just as officials in Missouri were reviewing whether the state is ready to respond to its own 7.6 magnitude –– or worse –– earthquake along the New Madrid Fault in eastern and southeastern Missouri. A 7.6 quake would devastate St. Louis and Cape Girardeau, Mo., and break dishes and overturn furniture in Kansas City.

State officials acknowledge that earthquake preparedness is not what it should be.
“Frankly, since 9/11, the vast majority of our major state exercises have involved terrorism,” said Susie Stonner, spokeswoman for the State Emergency Management Agency. “We need to get back to the natural disasters.”
Late last month, U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson and Sen. Jim Talent, both Republicans, asked Homeland Security Director Michael Chertoff to organize within the next year an emergency response drill in anticipation of a potential earthquake along the New Madrid Fault.

Alhoewel deze breuklijn rustig is gebleven in de 20ste eeuw, wordt verwacht dat deze breuklijn in de komende decennia voor veel rampspoed kan zorgen.
Getuige daarvan , the New Madrid earthquake, de zwaarste aardbeving die ooit de VS heeft getroffen.
Schattingen voor de magnitude van deze beving varieren tussen 8+ en 9+ op de schaal van Richter die toen nog niet bestond.
In totaal kwamen 4 van de zwaarste bevingen in de VS voor in deze regio, binnen een tijdspanne van drie maanden , in het jaar 1811-1812.
, in het jaar 1811-1812. Naschokken gingen door tot 1817.
De gevolgen voor de regio waren monumentaal, rivieren werden verlegd, meren drainneerden leeg, andere werden gecreeerd, bossen en landschappen veranderden compleet.
De menselijke schade was beperkt door de geringe ontwikkeling in het gebied.

De waarschuwing is dermate ernstig/interressant, in de zin dat ik niet eerder op de site zo'n waarschuwing ben tegengekomen, dat het de moeite is om ze hier te posten.

Summary:
Without a doubt today's seismic signal under North Island in New Zealand has my undivided attention. From the NE corner of the Island diagonally across to Chatham Island region is under severe stress.
(The last time Lake Taupo Caldera erupted it at the end of 1st century A.D. (circa 86 A.D.) the cloud of debris it threw into the atmosphere caused three days of darkness in China - nearly 10,000 miles away and across the equatorial divide...)
Toch even benadrukken, het voorspellen van aardbevingen en vulkaanuitbarstingen is geen exacte wetenschap.
