The great story with its oddities and chilling atmosphere have made me seen it about four-five times already. I think I will look at it again tonight, because I know I will be in a good mood afterwards. I feel is my own movie. I found it before others and made my point of view before any judgment was typed down by anyone. The plot isn't really that strong, and if the mystery/suspense was the main driving force it would be a pretty average film. What really made it special for me was the interaction between and . The ruggedly handsome , talking in his menacing voice, ending every sentence with an overemphasized " ", while sat there all uptight and nervous. I just couldn't stop laughing every time he talked. I'm sure it was meant to be funny. At least I hope so.

Thomas Howell picked up Rutger Hauer in The Hitcher, infact the thing that's really striking is the overall darker edge of how both characters tick. and have a weird chemistry that is out of pure identification for each other as they both realize that they are both evil men without a purpose in life. The twist at the end is a real kick in the pants as it just scrapes the psychology behind the evil nature of the two men, in which I wanted just a little bit more, however that being said is truly memorable as a thriller which has more texture then most straight to video movies.
