Filmvriendjes ik gooi er een nieuwe vraag in... Ranja is al 13 uur vermist.
quote:The great story with its oddities and chilling atmosphere have made me seen it about four-five times already. I think I will look at it again tonight, because I know I will be in a good mood afterwards. I feelis my own movie. I found it before others and made my point of view before any judgment was typed down by anyone. Still it's very unknown, but this movie has proven that you can and will find unknown movies that is much better than many of the big productions Hollywood give us. I specially love the ending, even though it's a masterpiece all the way through.
quote:I must confess something about this movie... I really think this is one of the best ever made. The first time I saw it I didn't know what it was about or who appeared in it. Whenand especially
were in the lead I felt the title and the combination of these two character actors must be quite good. Now after seeing it I can most surely say that it wasn't good.. it was totally DYNAMITE!

quote:The plot isn't really that strong, and if the mystery/suspense was the main driving force it would be a pretty average film. What really made it special for me was the interaction betweenand
. The ruggedly handsome
, talking in his menacing voice, ending every sentence with an overemphasized "
", while
sat there all uptight and nervous. I just couldn't stop laughing every time he talked. I'm sure it was meant to be funny. At least I hope so.
quote:has a real disturbing edge to it not seen since C. Thomas Howell picked up Rutger Hauer in The Hitcher, infact the thing that's really striking is the overall darker edge of how both characters tick.
and
have a weird chemistry that is out of pure identification for each other as they both realize that they are both evil men without a purpose in life. The twist at the end is a real kick in the pants as it just scrapes the psychology behind the evil nature of the two men, in which I wanted just a little bit more, however that being said
is truly memorable as a thriller which has more texture then most straight to video movies.

Twilight?
quote:is just a guy who's been driving around a desert. We don't really know much about him, other than he's got a wife who repeatedly tries to get in touch with him, and that he's been driving around the desert for some time, presumably because he was lost.
picked a bad time to roll through town, as police cars and forensic units move from one small squat to another cleaning up homicides from a serial killer who leaves his calling card--The Hatchetman. Because their investigations block up the road, he's forced to stay in town.
quote:There's a serial killer on the loose striking motorists on the desert highway between Nevada and California. In this violent setting two men meet up as if it were by fate. One a paper goods salesman from Las Vegas, and one a drifter, from God's only knows where and you sense right away that one is the murderer but which one is he? Suspenseful movie about murder and madness that goes the whole nine yards and even more in shocking the living hell out of the audience
quote:That's whenmeets the self-indulgent, sob story with an eerie knack for getting on
's nerves, Adrian.
may be "off" as this strange guy walking around town with a metal briefcase close at hand. But, Adrian, a heroin addict, is much weirder and insists that he isn't going to leave
's side. Sure,
could just turn the hitchhiker into the cops, but Adrian's got leverage against him. That's because
suspects Adrian of being the "Hatchetman" (he often pops out from a shadow at the murder investigations when
arrives). And Adrian says he thinks
's suitcase is full of the million dollars stolen from a casino a few miles back. So,
is stuck with Adrian. But unfortunate for Adrian, he underestimates
's limits.
