Ok, heb ik uiteraard ook over nagedacht aan het begin van het toernooi en ik moet zeggen dat ik het niet direct met je eens ben. Ik denk dat het onvermijdelijk is te concluderen dat het niet twee verschillende personages zijn. Maar je zou wel kunnen zeggen dat er twee verschillende karakters worden getoond, mede omdat hij door twee verschillende acteurs wordt gespeeld in twee verschillende levensfasen. Ik zit niet zo goed in beide films dat ik je een eenduidig antwoord kan geven. Beide karakters zijn genoemd in de nominatieronde, omdat de een de vertolking van Robert de Niro prefereerde en de ander die van Marlon Brando. Hetzelfde probleem bijvoorbeeld bij Castor Troy in Face Off, die zowel door Nicolas Cage als John Travolta wordt gespeeld. En bij James Bond en bij El Mariachi. Bovendien ben je de eerste die er over begint, dus het heeft bij de anderen ook minder problemen opgeleverd.
