NHL - Season 2005/2006

Het is 1-1 gebleven en aan de boxscore te zien werd er veel push en shoves(helaas geen echte knokpartij al kreeg de keeper van Italie aan het eind een misconduct)

Nederland heeft nog best veel kansen om door te gaan want volgens mij gaan ze met een gelijkspel tegen Frankrijk en winst tegen Estland gewoon door.

Ik ga zeer waarschijnlijk met CMT vrijdag naar Nederland-Frankrijk

geweldig resultaat

maar ik denk toch dat ze van Frankrijk en Estland moeten winnen (en Frankrijk van Polen) willen ze nog een kans hebben op promotie want het doelsaldo van de Polen is beter geloof ik.
maar ze zijn iig best dichtbij, het gaat er nu 1 deze jaren echt van komen dat Nederland naar de A-poule promoveert (en het ijshockey in Nederland begint ook eindelijk weer wat op te leven).

die wedstrijd tegen Frankrijk zou ik ook graag zien maar dat zit er helaas niet in, ik hoop dat ik die tegen estland iig wel kan kijken

Polen zit niet in deze poule. Probleem is dat Italië waarschijnlijk haar andere wedstrijden gaat winnen, en dat Nederland dan punten kan sprokkelen wat ze willen, maar het er dan niet in zal zitten om te winnen. Dus eerst hopen op een misstap van Italië (tegen Frankrijk op de laatste dag) en dan is er weer kans...

Op http://www.skaterhockey.nl/ staan trouwens de fragmenten van de drie wedstrijden van Nederland, zoals uitgezonden op de NOS. Vooral de wedstrijd tegen Italië is best aardig weergegeven door Studio Sport!

Goed nieuws!!

Ik vind het onderhand verdomde irritant gaan worden. Wat een stelletje amateurs daar zeg...ik wil verdomme volgend seizoen wel NHL. Als ze er nu wer niet uitkomen kunnen ze beter stoppen met de League.

Mooi om in de formule 1 op de Jordan te zien staan "Bring Hockey Back". En niet zomaar ergens weggemoffeld, nee groot op de wagen!
En zo is het maar net, terug ermee!!

Walt Disney heeft de Mighty Ducks verkocht. Ze blijven wel gewoon in Anaheim spelen en de naam blijft ook behouden.

Nee replacements gaat niet werken geloof ik... Stond een paar weken terug nog iets over in de Volkskrant. Overigens waren zij vrij positief, de verwachting is toch wel dat er gespeeld moet gaan worden... Maar ja, dan moet er dus eerst toegegeven worden door de partijen... En dat zie ik dan weer niet zo snel gebeuren...

Nee, denk ik niet. Men wil toch de echte sterren zien, niet wat onbekendere replacements.

Nieuwe regels die voorgesteld zijn aan de GM's:

# Smaller goalie equipment, including 11 inch pads.
# The reinstitution of the tag-up offside rule.
# Moving the goal lines back two feet towards the end board to create more room in front of the net instead of behind it.
# The calling of more penalties more consistently, specifically for obstruction on players with and without the puck and not just in the netural zone.
# The institution of a shootout to eliminate tie games in the NHL. Before going to the shootout, though, overtime would be modified to include one five-minute period of four-on-four overtime and, if still tied, a three-minute period of three-on-three. If, after eight minutes of overtime, the game is still tied, then it would go to a shootout.
# The winner of the game - in regulation time, overtime or the shootout - would receive two points for the victory. The loser, regardless of when the loss occurred, would receive no points.
# The blue lines would be made fatter, as per the American Hockey League experiment this season, to slightly increase the size of the offensive zones.
# The centre red line will be removed for the purposes of allowing two-line passes.
# Goaltenders will only be permitted to handle the puck in a designated area directly behind the goal net, as per the AHL experiment this season.
# A modified form of no-touch icing, where the first player to cross the goal line - not to touch the puck - will dictate whether icing is called. In other words, if the defensive player gets to the goal line first, icing will be called. If the offensive player gets to the goal line first, no icing will be called. Also, when icing is called, the team that iced the puck will not be permitted to change lines.
# Any player in the defensive zone that shoots the puck directly out of play will receive a two-minute minor for delay of game. In the past, only the goalie was penalized for shooting the puck out of play.
# Automatic fines to the coach and suspensions to the player for any fight with an instigator in the last five minutes of the game.

Draft

Bovendien wordt er al druk gespeculeerd over de draft. De nummer 1 keuze is al bekend, dat wordt Sidney Crosby. Deze center wordt al jaren vergeleken met Wayne Gretzky en alhoewel het natuurlijk de vraag is of hij ooit zo goed zal worden (die kans lijkt klein), is het overduidelijk dat hij de beste draftpick zal zijn van de afgelopen jaren.
Leuk wordt ook de volgorde van de draft. Normaal gesproken wordt er aan de hand van de uitslag van de reguliere competitie bepaald wie er de meeste kans maakt op de eerste keus. Hierdoor krijgen de grote teams nooit een kans op de hoogste pick (tenzij ze gaan ruilen uiteraard). Nu is er echter niet gespeeld, en gaan er verschillende geruchten over de aanpak. De meest logische keus op dit moment lijkt een loterij die licht gebaseerd is op resultaat. Welk resultaat dat is, is echter niet duidelijk. Wellicht de uitslagen van de afgelopen seizoenen (hoe slechter, hoe meer kans), maar wellicht ook het aantal eerste keuzes van de laatste jaren (hoe minder, hoe meer kans). In dit laatste geval maken de goede teams juist veel kans om Sidney te kunnen draften. We wachten rustig af.

Het lijkt bovendien op dit moment zeer aannemelijk dat er komend seizoen wordt geijshockeyed!

Gewoon de two-line pass regel afschaffen kwam zeker niet in ze op... Ik vind dat een speelveld gewoon een duidelijke middellijn moet hebben, of die verder nog in de regels voorkomt of niet.

Veiliger dan de oude regel maar toch nog verdomd recalcitrant ten opzichte van de internationale regels. Geen line change als het spel daardoor stil ligt kan tegen het einde van een wedstrijd leuk zijn. Wie Crosby ook zal draften, het seizoen 2005-2006 wordt gewoon knotsgek. Nieuwe teams (in bezetting), gepuzzel om onder de cap te blijven, wennen aan nieuwe regels en een heel land dat opgelucht ademhaalt, niet alleen omdat er weer NHL is maar ook omdat de toekomst van hun teams veel zekerder is.

Zo ver als ze willen en met handling wordt het spelen van de puck bedoeld.

Gewoon buiten de crease de keeper niet meer beschermen, dat werkt het beste en zorgt voor het meeste spectakel
