Omdat Gythio in Grikenland niet op de lijst stond, is het nu een badplaats. Het was een vissersplaats met zand strandje waar je tussen de zuilen in zee kon zwemmen..

Die ligt om Amsterdam heen, verschillende forten waaronder Pampus (die is wel het meest bekend denk ik).

Het is me met wat vreemd toeval (een busomleiding via Lemmer) eindelijk gelukt om ze bijna allemaal te bezoeken

De hele Beemsterpolder is UNESCO
