Porto have warned Real Madrid they will not accept anything less than £20m for star defender Ricardo Carvalho after the Spaniards made a much lower offer.
"Real offered £7m for Carvalho, but I made a counter-offer: he will not leave Porto for anything less than £20m," said president Jorge Pinto da Costa.
Waarom wil Real Carvalho als ze de beste keeper van de wereld al hebben?quote:Op zondag 18 juli 2004 15:46 schreef BliksemSchigt het volgende:

quote:Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho looks set to get his wish with all his incoming transfer business concluded before he jets off for the United States on Wednesday, and a triple swoop by The Blues cannot be competely discounted.
With Didier Drogba on the brink of finalising his record move from Marseille and the finishing touches being put to the deal to bring Benfica's Tiago Mendes to Stamford Bridge, Mourinho has managed to bolster his already powerful squad.
However, the Portuguese coach stressed recently that he also wanted a centre back to replace Marcel Desailly.
One name in the frame is understood to be Greece's Euro 2004 hero Traianos Dellas, one of the outstanding performers in the tournament.
Aside from scoring the Silver Goal winner in the semi-final against Czech Republic, the Roma centre back was a tower of strength at the back for the surprise winners.
Sources in Italy claim Chelsea have shown an interest in signing Dellas after other English clubs, including Tottenham and Everton, expressed an admiration in the former Sheffield United man.
Roma would demand at least ¤5 million for Dellas and, even allowing for the arrival of Drogba and Tiago, there would still be sufficient funds to purchase the defender Mourinho wants.
Whether negotiations could be wrapped up this week is open to debate and the Chelsea boss has made it clear that he wants to stick to his self-imposed deadline for new dealings.
Yet Dellas would need little persuading to head for West London if Chelsea decide he is the right man to pursue.
