SPECIAL FEATURES
The special features aren’t as extensive as what was on Clerks X, but they are pretty satisfactory. Firstly, it should be noted that the extended cut is really the bonus of this set. Along with that, fans get a ton of extras, some of which were on the previous DVD release. The two things I see missing are a commentary on the new extended version of the film, and the rest of the deleted scenes that were on the previous release. Overall, lots of good stuff in here for all Mallrats fans:

• Audio Commentary – This commentary was recorded in either 1998 or ’99. Participants include: director Kevin Smith, producer Scott Mosier, cast members Jason Lee, Jason Mewes and Ben Affleck and, finally, “resident View Askew historian” Vincent Pereira. The commentary is available on the theatrical version of the film only. As with all Kevin Smith and company commentaries, there are lots of good tidbits and funny moments throughout. It’s definitely worth the watch for any fan – though many have probably already heard it. Also worth noting: the multi-angle feature that let’s you watch the recording of the commentary, which was present on the previous release, is not on this new version.
• Cast Interviews from Original Set – These are just straight-up interviews with the cast. They discuss the shooting, Smith, their characters, etc. of the film. This is typical EPK fodder, but still interesting to watch and hear what they have to say. All footage is taken from the set of the mall during shooting. This feature runs a little over 8½ minutes.
• A Brief Q&A with Kevin Smith – This is just as it says. A handful of questions are shown on screen, and then Smith gives his answer. It is a new bit for the new DVD, and in a way, acts as in introduction/explanation of the 10th Anniversary DVD. This runs for about 9 minutes.
• Outtakes – There are about 9 minutes of outtakes on this new edition. It’s a typical bloopers/mishaps reel. Though it’s not roll-on-the-ground funny, it’s still good to watch and will make you chuckle.
• View Askew’s Look Back at Mallrats – This 21-minute documentary, from around the same time the audio commentary was recorded, was originally featured on the Collector’s Edition. It takes a look at the film through tons of ‘key personnel’ interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and clips from the movie. Stories include how the studio wanted a “smart Porky’s,” how Jason Mewes almost didn’t make it into the film and the box office failure it became.
• The Erection of an Epic: The Making of Mallrats – This follow-up documentary was created for this DVD. Using newly shot interviews with film critics, cast, crew and studio execs, this one features less on making the movie, and more on the bounce back and huge success it’s had on VHS and beyond. It’s a good retrospective to watch after you watch all the older material again (first documentary, commentary), because now you’ll get a sense of what a cult hit it has become after the theatrical flop. This one runs 22 minutes.
• Production Photos – Taken from the last release, this part runs on slideshow or you can manually flip through. The auto-run lasts about 5 minutes. Included are production and publicity photos.
• Music Video: “Build Me Up Buttercup” –The Goops “Build Me Up Buttercup” music video, directed by Kevin Smith and prominently featuring a dancing Jay and Silent Bob, acts as a promotional plug for the movie. Alright to have, it runs 3½ minutes and was also included on the previous DVD release.
• Theatrical Trailer – Clocking in at 2½ minutes, the theatrical trailer is here. It’s no wonder no one went to see the film in theaters.
• Mallrats: The Reunion – The last of the bonus features is a great finale. Kevin Smith, Jason Lee, Jeremy London, Jason Mewes, Ethan Suplee, Rene Humphries, Scott Mosier, producer James Jacks and director of photography David Klein all participate in a 50 minute Q&A session, held after a 10th anniversary screening of Mallrats. Smith leads the pack on answers, so there are some repeated stories – stuff fans have heard before, some of which is even on other bits on this DVD. But overall, this is pretty fun to watch and rather amusing. Kevin Smith is a great storyteller, I’ll give him that.

ah, dat wordt dus m'n 2e Mallrats exemplaar. Ik heb de oude R1 versie al. Ik had natuurlijk al gehoord over deze nieuwe, maar nog niet wat er precies op staat. Dit zit er goed uit, ondanks dat er toch niet al teveel nieuw spul op staat.

Klopt. Back to the future is IMHO dan ook een kutfilm. Silence,hannibal,seven,red dragon..dat zijn goeie films. Ik ben kieskeurig. Live with it

edit : en overigens hou ik best van films,maar wel goeie films.
En ik hou dus echt niet alleen van horror. The first knight,the rock ect goeie films
