Metal Circus lag gisteren al in de bus, ook erg goed (en hoewel ik de Therapy? cover van Diane erg kan waarderen is het origineel toch een stuk beter, vooral die noisy `solo'). Jammer dat ik net te jong was om deze band echt meegekregen te hebben toen ze op hun top waren.

Candy Apple Grey is the penultimate album by Hüsker Dü, released in 1986. It was their first major label album, though Warner Bros. had initially lobbied to release Flip Your Wig until the band decided to let SST have it. Greg Norton was best wel een beetje pissed off toen hij hoorde dat Grant & Mould bij een benefiet weer husker du nummers speelde. Hij is inderdaad nu resauranthouder, en gekozen (categorie "wijnkaart") tot de top 10 van Amerika (geen geintje!)... Maar hij heeft de bas weer opgepakt en speelt een tijdje weer met een eigen band. Raar, degene van wie iedereen altijd dacht dat hij homo was (snor!) is zo hetro als maar kan...

Long defunct hardcore legends Hüsker Dü have launched their official website for the first time in their career. The website is an online merch store, and bassist Greg Norton told Star Tribune they have worked out a licensing agreement for their music and an official Facebook page should be coming soon. He also hinted at a possible reunion, saying, “There’s ongoing communication between the three of us now.”
Hüsker Dü released their final album Warehouse: Songs and Stories in 1987 and broke up in the following year.
