Springen tijdens een noodsituatie is doorgaans gewoon te gevaarlijk. Vliegtuig moet laag en stabiel gaan vliegen. Ook springen door een luik is niet ideaal.

Overigens heeft het wel een bijzondere consequentie dat de Twaalver Shia in Iran de dominante stroming is en dat het rechtssysteem in Iran deels is gebaseerd op de Usuli rechtsschool van de Jafari Twaalver Shia. Dit is de enige rechtsschool binnen de islam die behalve het gebruikeljke permanente huwelijk ook een ander bijzonder soort huwelijk erkent dat in het Arabisch Nikah Mut'ah en in het Perzisch Sigheh heet.

"The increase in the marriage age in this country has caused many problems," he told a conference in the city of Qom. "Is it possible that Islam is indifferent to a 15-year-old youth into whom God has put lust? We have to find a solution to meet the sexual desire of the youth who have no possibility of marriage. Islam is a comprehensive and complete religion and has a solution for every behaviour and need, and temporary marriage is one of its solutions for the needs of the youth."
He called on religious schools to study the possible side effects of an increase in the practice.
Roughly half of Iran's 70 million people are under the age of 30. Increasing numbers are delaying marriage under monetary pressures, including rising inflation and house prices.
Mr Pourmohammadi's plea echoed a similar call in 1990 by Iran's president at the time, Hashemi Rafsanjani, who said temporary marriage was preferable to being "promiscuous like the westerners".
However, the idea has been attacked by women's groups.
Rafat Bayat, a fundamentalist female MP, said the custom had to be strictly supervised and limited. "Do you accept, yourself, to tell to your daughter's suitor that your daughter has already made temporary marriage several times?" she asked Mr Pourmohammadi.
As it clashes with a cultural tradition favouring women being virgins until marriage, sigheh has been unpopular among Iranians. It allows Muslim men to have temporary marriages with non-Muslim women, but Muslim women can only have such relationships with co-religionists. Sigheh children are classed as legitimate.
The custom is thought to have originated among pre-Islamic Arab tribes. The Prophet Mohammed recommended it to his companions and soldiers, though it was later banned under Sunni Islam.

Dit enorme strategische voordeel van Iran is wel zwaar onderschat dat is zeker. Of eigenlijk misschien het feit dat ze de commandostructuur onderuit zouden kunnen schoppen is overschat.
Het was natuurlijk de bedoeling dat Iran in total chaos verkeerde en niet in staat zou zijn om de straat van Hormuz af te sluiten. Dat was een misrekening of een overschatting van eigen kunnen. Misschien zelfs in weerspraak van eigen inlichtingendiensten en militaire adviezen.

Trump toch wel goed bezig zijn zonen lekker geld te laten verdienen in deze tijden van oorlog en onzekerheid. Lockheed Martin, RTX, Northrop Grumman closed down about 1% on average. Despite the move down, demand will continue to boom for equipment, including drones, missiles, interceptors, manned fighter jets, and refueling planes.
Drones are a particularly hot category of military equipment, and Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. are backing a new company aiming to meet rising demand from the Pentagon.
Drone company Powerus plans to merge with Aureus Greenway Holdings, a publicly traded golf-course company linked to the Trumps, according to filings released Monday. The reverse merger will result in Powerus trading on the Nasdaq stock exchange in the coming months.
Aureus’s shareholders include American Ventures and Dominari Securities, two investment companies with ties to the Trumps, according to The Wall Street Journal. Unusual Machines, a drone components company of which Donald Trump Jr. is a shareholder and advisory board member, will also invest in the deal, according to the Journal.
Unusual Machines shares gained 5.1% to $17.28. Coming into Monday trading, it had a market value of about $600 million. Aureus had a market value of less than $100 million. That’s a fraction of large defense contractors or other drone makers, such as Kratos Defense & Security Solutions and AeroVironment. Those two are valued at a combined $27 billion. RTX, Lockheed, and Northrop are worth a combined $540 billion.
Powerus sells aerial and maritime drones and is aiming to build more than 10,000 each month, more than almost any other U.S. drone manufacturer, while also looking at deals to acquire or license technology from Ukrainian companies, the Journal reported.
Defense stocks have got a boost from rising geopolitical tensions. Coming into Monday trading, the iShares Aerospace & Defense ETF was up 62% over the past 12 months. The ETF was down 3.5%, however, over the past week, with investors selling stocks after the fighting in Iran began.
RTX, Lockheed, and Northrop shares dropped an average of 2.2% this past week, leaving the trio up about 52% over the past 12 months.
