Welkom in het Nintendo Switch-topic op FOK! Wat is Nintendo Switch?
Nintendo Switch is de nieuwste console van Nintendo en de opvolger van WiiU. De basis van Switch is een tablet-achtig apparaat die je thuis in een docking station zet maar net zo gemakkelijk mee neemt op reis. In de preview trailer wordt het hele concept in iets meer dan drie minuten uitgelegd en beter kunnen wij het ook niet uitleggen.
Tof! Wanneer kan ik ermee spelen?
Sinds 3 maart 2017 is de Switch, die regiovrij is, wereldwijd te koop. In Nederland ligt de prijs op zo'n 329 euro en voor dat geld krijg je de Switch, twee Joycon-controllers, een Joycon Grip, een docking station (met adapter) en een HDMI-kabel. Er wordt geen game meegeleverd tenzij het een speciale bundel betreft (de prijs ligt dan uiteraard wat hoger).
Switch 2019-model
Sinds de zomer van 2019 is er een nieuwe versie van de Nintendo Switch verschenen. Deze heeft vooral een langere batterijduur in handheldmode, zo'n vijf uur tegenover drie van het launch model. De 2019-versie gaat momenteel voor 329 euro en het oude model (mits nog voorradig) is dan vaak een paar tientjes goedkoper.
Switch Lite
Op 20 september 2019 verscheen de Switch Lite. Dit is een handheld only variant; zonder losse Joycon en zonder mogelijkheid om op de tv te spelen. De prijs ligt dan ook zo'n 100 euro lager. De Switch Lite is er in meerdere kleuren.
Switch OLED
Op 8 oktober 2021 verschijnt een vernieuwde Switch met OLED scherm. Het scherm is ietsje groter, maar qua hardware is het dezelfde console. Verkoopprijs is zo'n 349/359 euro. Er zijn twee kleuren: wit en rood/blauw.

Ik doel op het algemeen aanbieden van retro games. Of dat nou via abonnement NSO of los via Virtual Console is. Snap dat een abo meer oplevert voor Nintendo, maar als gebruiker draait het me puur om het aanbod.quote:

Er zijn misschien drie ouwe strategy freaks die iets als Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV nog eens willen spelen, maar het gros zal liever een Chrono Trigger, Lufia, of Super Star Soccer spelen.

Ik speel momenteel Metroid Prime remastered zodat ik straks op launch Metroid Prime 4 kan spelen.
Het is een leuke game maar ik moet soms wel goed zoeken naar de route. Mijn bal moet nog een magneet upgrade krijgen en ik zoek een grapple hook. Dan kan ik stappen maken.
