RTVE, the Spanish national broadcaster, revealed the first details about Benidorm Fest 2025 at a press conference at Mirador de la Música in Benidorm Fest. During this press conference, an agreement was signed between RTVE and the Mayor of Benidorm.

Although the submission window for Benidorm Fest 2025 is currently open and will remain open until October 10, RTVE revealed that four assessors will choose the competing entries. Rayden, Pablo Cebrián and Tony Sánchez-Ohlsso will all continue as assessors. Joining them will be Beatriz Luengo. Beatriz is a Latin Grammy-winning musician, singer, composer, actress and singer. Last year, she was the chairperson of the professional jury at Benidorm Fest, which made up 50% of the overall results.

RTVE also revealed the dates and format of Benidorm Fest 2025. The contest will feature 16 songs competing across two semi-finals, which will be held on January 28 and 30. The final will take place on February 1. In a change to previous years, the full results of the semi-finals will not be revealed until after the final. Only the names of the qualifiers will be announced during each semi-final. Another change is that public voting will now be free and will be done through the official Benidorm Fest app.

César Vallejo, co-director of Benidorm Fest, also revealed that songwriting camps will be held again to provide potential Benidorm Fest entries. These camps will be behind closed doors but they could become open to the public at some point in the future.
