Details: The adoption of this draft bill is necessary for the Framework Agreement on the EDCF loans for 2024-2029 in the amount of US$2.1 billion, signed on 19 April 2024 in Washington (US), to enter into force.
"These funds will be directed at the procurement of equipment and reconstruction projects which will be implemented by the state or state companies with the state guarantee granted, as well as at financing the state budget. Receiving long-term and low-interest loans will facilitate Ukraine's restoration of production potential and create new workplaces," explains Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

De vorige keer dat zij iets zelf dachten te mogen weten, iets wat volstrekt tegen de belangen van de EU en NAVO inging, raakten zij hun kans op de F-16, Patriot en andere moderne Westerse materieel kwijt.quote:

Hier hebben zij spijt van gehad, vooral nu deze oorlog heeft laten zien wat een rommel die S-300 (of S-400) wel niet is.

Military successes
Last Thursday, the General Staff of Ukraine reported a successful attack using long-range ATACMS missiles on a ferry crossing of the Kerch Strait in Crimea.
Two ferries were damaged as a result of the strike. Russian authorities then closed the ferry crossing and the bridge across the Kerch Strait, leading from the peninsula to Russia.
On the same day, naval drones belonging to Ukraine’s military intelligence service (HUR) destroyed two Russian navy boats off the coast of Crimea.

The Pletnev City Clinical Hospital in Moscow is to be “shut off so that only those who served in Ukraine can be treated”, Novaya Europe’s source said, adding: “After that they will shut the hospital down for good.”
Cystic fibrosis patients who are now being transferred to a different hospital in Moscow for treatment have confirmed this to be the case. The Pulmonology Research Institute at Moscow’s Sechenov University is expected to take over the lion’s share of outpatient care for cystic fibrosis patients in Russia.
Cystic fibrosis is a life-limiting genetic disease which causes the body to overproduce thick mucus, which particularly affects the lungs and digestive system. There are between 400–500 adults suffering from cystic fibrosis in Russia today.
Russians with cystic fibrosis currently only receive low-quality generic Russian versions of name brand medications that were originally developed abroad. These generic medications are often not tested and have not gone through rigorous purification processes and therefore can give unpredictable results when mixed with other medication.
Russian federal law stipulates that Russian pharmaceutical companies must be prioritised over foreign counterparts and therefore doctors can be dismissed for attempting to prescribe name brand medication. This is what happened with one of Russia’s leading pulmonologists Yelena Amelina, who was fired in 2023 after attempting to prescribe name brand drugs.
The lack of necessary treatment and medication in Russia leads Russians suffering from cystic fibrosis to look abroad for medical assistance. At least 20 cystic fibrosis patients and their families have left Russia due to a lack of necessary treatment, while others order medicine from countries such as Turkey, where no prescription is required to purchase cystic fibrosis medication.

Ja je mag het zelf bepalen maar anderen mogen daar consequenties aan verbinden.
Ergo je mag (naar nu blijkt) waardeloze s400 systemen kopen maar de consequentie is dat je uit het (naar nu blijkt) succesvolle f35 programma geschopt wordt en moet bedelen om nieuwe f16s te mogen kopen.
Je komt onbetrouwbaar over en dat heeft zijn weerslag. Overigens heeft niet alleen Turkije daar last van. De Amerikaanse oorlog in Irak heeft de VS ook veel krediet gekost.
