Ardestani reportedly told Iran Watch that Iran "is certainly prepared for the consequences of such an attack and will be ready for any subsequent developments." He added that the Iranian response would "be carried out by surprise and may even last three to four days."
He told the interviewer that "bloodshed would be carried out" to avenge Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in Tehran while attending the inauguration of new Iranian president Pezeshkian.
"Therefore, Iran's response to this crime of the Zionist regime will be definitive and there is no doubt about it."
Ardestani also told Iran Watch that prolonging the response, or making Israel wait for the response, was in Iran's favor as Israel "feels every night that it is in limbo, and keeping Israel in limbo is part of the revenge operation."

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said last month that it would probably take Iran “one or two weeks” to produce enough weapons-grade enriched uranium for a nuclear weapon. Experts say Iran already has enough enriched uranium of various grades to be able to fuel multiple nuclear weapons within six months.
It also has an advanced missile program and has resumed work on critical components of building a nuclear warhead, such as producing uranium metal.

Lijkt me logisch als Hezbollah de boel eerst inleidt, die hebben toch honderduizend raketten. Pas daarna Iran er achter aan.

Ik vraag me wel af of de VS stiekem hopen dat Iran aanvalt, zodat ze eindelijk een goed excuus hebben om Iran aan te vallen en het regime daar af te zetten. Hoewel het met de presidentsverkiezingen op komst natuurlijk niet handig is om aan een oorlog te beginnen. Ik heb in elk geval de indruk dat Poetin niks gaat doen om Iran te helpen, die heeft er volgens mij ook de wapenkracht niet meer voor.
