Former PDC World Youth Championship winner Corey Cadby is eyeing a return to the tour in the near future as he sets out his intentions to participate at Q-School
Forgotten darts wonderkid Corey Cadby could soon return to the PDC after winning an Australian tournament and setting out his Q-School aims.
The 27-year-old rose to prominence back in 2016 when he followed up winning the PDC World Youth Championship by beating Phil Taylor 6-2 at the Perth Masters aged just 21. However, personal problems and issues with his visa have since disrupted his career and he went on to surrender his Tour Card in early 2020 despite still being inside the top 64 of the world rankings.
Two years on, though, Cadby could soon return to the PDC after his win at the Emu Bay Classic in Tasmania on Sunday.
'The King' has also recently hinted at competing at PDC Qualifying School in a bid to earn a Tour Card for 2023 after several years away from the PDC.
He dropped the hint via a comment on the YouTube channel of fellow darts player Matthew Edgar after being asked if he is ever going to come back to darts.
Cadby replied, via Darts News: "Hoping to be back for Q-School, by the way I still can leave Australia and enter the UK. A break has done me good, see you all soon."
His plans for a return in the near future appear to be on track after his latest tournament win last weekend in his native Australia.
