Want ik kan me meerdere berichten herinneren van een aantal jaar terug waar ze kakkerlakken melk promoten als de nieuwe superfood. Ben benieuwd of ze dit als gezondere alternatief gaan promoten . Want het is wel duurzaam en goed voor het milieu enzo

Als ik eigenaar was van een supermarkt dan zou ik het wel weten hoor. Heel die winkel zou dan volhangen met soortgelijke stickers

Ook zijn de graanvoorraden in het land “historisch hoog”. Mocht alle voedselproductie en import in China stoppen, dan nog kan het land anderhalf jaar probleemloos zijn bevolking voeden. Dat is een enorme voorraad voedsel.

Volgens gegevens van het Amerikaanse ministerie van Landbouw zal China in de eerste helft van 2022 zo’n 69 procent van de beschikbare maïs bezitten. Het Aziatische land zal ook 60 procent van ‘s werelds rijstreserves en 51 procent van zijn tarwe hebben.

Vervelende is wel, met alle grondstoffen die we tekort gaan komen. Niet alleen hier maar ook in andere landen die ons voorzien in medicijnen is dat "the great culling" wel heel vlot kan komen onder de ouderen en de zwakkeren in onze samenleving die afhankelijk zijn van bepaalde medicijnen. Stap 2 in de-populatie.. Het plan loopt gesmeerd.

En een Europa dat door de VS in een oorlog met Rusland gezogen gaat worden, crazy times ahead.. Zou echt hun draaiboek eens in willen zien

Dit is inderdaad bizar. Voor wie we iets duidelijker moeten zijn; sinds enkele maanden zijn er buitensporig veel Amerikaanse 'food processing plants' (voedselproducerende bedrijven) verwoest door branden en explosies.

Daarnaast heeft het Oekraineconflict grote gevolgen; zowel Oekraine en Rusland zijn waren grote internationale leveranciers van graan en Rusland is een grote producent van kunstmest. Dit zal voor de komende jaren een zeer negatief effect hebben op de nog komende oogsten van landbouwproducten. Daarnaast zijn er in de VS al sinds het aantreden van de Bidenkliek grote problemen in de bevoorradingsketen, waardoor ook voedselleveranties stagneren.

Op allerlei vlakken zullen er dus tekorten (en dus ook flinke prijsverhogingen) voor de consument zijn, niet alleen in de westerse wereld, maar ook in armere landen. Er zal dan misschien ook weer een migratiestroom vanuit de derde wereld komen, die onze politici met open armen als 'klimaatvluchtelingen' zullen verwelkomen.

Verder heb ik ook begrepen dat oa Bill Gates op grote schaal Amerikaanse landbouwgrond aan het kopen is. Ik weet niet of dat waar is, maar stel dat het zo is dat Gates en andere grootkapitalisten inmiddels een flink aandeel in de eigendom van landbouwgrond hebben en die gaan bebossen ofzo, voor het 'klimaat' uiteraard, zal het aanbod van landbouwproducten verder verslechteren.

Het gaat er steeds meer op lijken dat er bewust op tekorten op de voedselmarkt wordt aangestuurd, en de politiek lijkt er niets aan te willen doen.

Ik kan gezien de huidige ontwikkelingen niet echt vrolijk worden over onze toekomst.

“Operation Thermostat”: Energy rationing & the pivot from Ukraine to climate?

Italy is officially becoming the first country to start rationing energy after cutting their supply of Russian gas and oil.

From next month, until at least March 2023, public buildings across the nation will be banned from running air conditioning at lower than 25 degrees, or heating higher than 19 degrees.

The plan, termed “Operation Thermostat” in the press, is being sold as a way for ordinary people to show “solidarity” with the people of Ukraine, with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi saying:

"Do we want to have peace or do we want to have the air conditioning on?”

I’m not exactly sure how adjusting your thermostat is going to achieve ‘peace’, but hey we’re living in the age of sentimental manipulation over reason, so – just believe.

For example, the Guardian is illustrating the story with pro-peace artwork allegedly done by Italian schoolchildren (in English, for some reason).

There’s no talk yet of this kind of energy-rationing rule extending to private businesses or homes, but a marker has been set down. Expect other nations to follow suit.

After that of course will come the opinion pieces asking questions like “we rationed gas to fight Putin, why not climate change?”, and headlines saying that “Europe-wide gas rationing was good for the planet” or something similar.

…Oh wait, it’s already happening.

Honestly, when I originally wrote the above paragraph I had no idea the New Yorker had published this opinion piece for Earth Day, headlined:

This Earth Day, We Could Be Helping the Environment—and Ukraine”

It argues that rationing energy to fight Putin is just like digging for victory to fight Hitler, and – just as I predicted – would also be good for the planet:

During the Second World War, victory demanded more oil […] In the wars dominating the globe today — Putin’s land grab in Ukraine, and the global land grab caused by rising sea levels and spreading deserts — victory demands getting off fossil fuels as fast as we possibly can.

It even hints at a quasi-lockdown – this time for the sake of beating Putin and combating climate change:

Everyone who can work from home could continue to do so, at least on, say, Mondays, knocking a day off the national commute. Carpools could be organized, taking special advantage of the fact that there are now two million electric cars on the road. More bike paths could be made available, and, when air-conditioning season begins, Americans could turn their thermostats up a degree.

Remember lockdowns were marketed as planet-saving almost from the moment they were put in place, despite it making almost zero sense. The agenda was pretty obvious right from the start.

It’s interesting that “operation thermostat” should be announced on April 22nd – Earth Day – despite having zero to do with climate change. It’s also noteworthy that climate protests groups have piggy-backed on the idea to call for an EU-wide boycott of Russia’s fossil fuels.

We already know they planned a “pivot from covid to climate”, and moves like this mean they can easily “pivot from Ukraine to climate” too.

I have been down this road on OffG before, but I am a university English teacher in Japan and I regularly ask my students what percentage of the atmosphere comprises CO2 (telling them not to check their smart phones). Numbers range from upwards of 80% down to 10% for the vast majority of students (hundreds in total), only occasionally skewed down to 1% and very occasionally stating the actual number, 0.041%!

It really is hilarious when I write down the actual number. I then explain that rather than using these inconvenient (to their narrative) numbers, they changed the terminology to ppm, so 0.041 becomes 410 ppm and the percentage back in the mid 30’s of, supposedly, 0.035% becomes 350 ppm. So, the global warming alarmists can then state that the CO2 level has risen from 350ppm to 410ppm in just 80 years!!!! It is a disaster!

I then tell them that the actual number is sometimes taught as I asked my daughter when she was in elementary school what the percentage was and she correctly stated: 0.04 percent. So, at some stage, perhaps students are taught the actual number but by adding ppm to make the number seem bigger, or not discussing the percentage at all, it is just stated as a blanket fact that this increase is making the global climate warmer. Solar influence is not discussed at all as a factor of global climate and no mention at all of how there were 4 or 5 ice ages following by long periods of global warming with no humans even around to be blamed for it (or that it was even bad).

Seems to me that the narrative is part of a much bigger story of massive misinformation, enabling more and more control over our lives by the powers that be.
