Voters on a saturday night don’t want something that is too melanchonic. I feel beautiful mess was just on the right side of the line. Salvador had charm and intensity. To me, this feels maybe a bit too sad. I think Azerbaijan’s Drip Drop (2010) was also the wrong side of the line (5th in televote) – although I concede this is a stronger song.

Ja ik vind zoiets altijd maar lastig te zeggen. Misschien is men er nu wel klaar voor. Anouk met Birds had het bijvoorbeeld een paar jaar later wel veel beter kunnen doen (dat gevoel heb ik altijdquote:
). Misschien is dit juist het moment voor zo'n nummer.

This acoustic version is so beautifull. Its just his voice and some violins and the piano. If you can deliver a song so beautifull with so litle it can only get even more beautifull performed on a big stage with beautifull lighting (that was the only thing i didnt like in this video, the lighting was poor but hè this was a talkshow and not the eurovisions 😉) 12 points from South-Africa
