Het is weer zover! De blaadjes beginnen van de boom te vallen, ik ben op vakantie geweest (ga alsjeblieft minimaal 1 keer in je leven naar Botswana; het is daar bizar mooi!) en mijn vriendin gaat die reis in een fotoboek verwerken. Dat geeft mij de komende periode de tijd om wat in Excel te gaan knoeien, dus laten we weer op zoek gaan naar de beste film ooit volgens het FOK!-forum.
Dit doen we zoals we dat altijd doen: jullie posten in dit topic een lijst met de volgens jullie beste films ooit. Ik verzamel de lijsten vervolgens, ken elke film punten toe, tel de punten bij elkaar op en plaats na de deadline de uitslag in ditzelfde topic. Makkie dus. Hierbij geldt; the more the merrier. Alle lijsten zijn welkom en dit topic is niet alleen voor de snobs - daar hebben we de Schaduwlijst wel voor. Meer lijsten is dus altijd beter!
Voor het inleveren van je lijst kun je kiezen uit vijf formaten: een top 100, 50, 25, 20 of 10. De puntentelling is hierbij is als volgt:
Top 100: 100-99-98 ... 3-2-1
Top 50: 100-98-96 ... 6-4-2
Top 25: 100-96-92 ... 12-8-4
Top 20: 100-95-90 ... 15-10-5
Top 10: 100-90-80 ... 30-20-10
En nog even de regels om het (met name voor mij) gemakkelijk en overzichtelijk te houden:
• Als je je lijst wilt wijzigen, doe dit dan via een nieuwe post of een DM. De kans is namelijk groot dat je lijst heel snel verwerkt wordt en een wijziging niet gezien wordt.
• De films moeten minimaal feature-length (40 minuten+) zijn.
• Miniseries doen niet mee. Als leidraad hiervoor geldt IMDb. La Meglio Gioventu zie ik dus wel als speelfilm, It niet.
• Een filmreeks is niet één film, dus de Lord of the Rings-trilogie kan niet op één positie gezet worden. Wel kunnen de films ex equo op één positie gezet worden; ze krijgen dan het gemiddelde aantal punten van de drie posities die ze bekleden.
• Let goed op de spelling van de titels en vul evt. aan met informatie: IMDb-link en jaartal worden héél erg gewaardeerd! Dit voorkomt namelijk misverstanden en zoekwerk voor mij en daarmee eventuele vragen van mij aan jou.
• Als je deze extra informatie achter de film plaatst, probeer dit dan met een leesteken te scheiden; een vertical bar, haakje of streepje is hierbij allemaal prima.
• Houd dit topic of je DM-box verder wel in de gaten voor het geval ik ergens toch niet uit kom en ik je om wat uitleg wil vragen. Zonder antwoord kies ik de voor mij meest logische oplossing.
De deadline stel ik in op zaterdag 10 November 23.59u. De uitslag zal waarschijnlijk de volgende dag volgen. Net als bij de voorgaande edities komt er ook weer een Schaduwlijst, waarvan de criteria uiteraard niet gedeeld gaan worden.

Enkele statistieken:
*Het meest voorkomende jaartal is 2014 met 13 stuks gevolgd door 2015 en 2012 die op een gedeelde tweede plaats staan met elk 7 films. 2016 met 6 films, en 2004 met 5 films vervolledigen de top 5.
* Met 44 films is het huidige decennium het meest vertegenwoordigd in de lijst, gevolgd door de 2000's (21 films), de 1990's (15 films) en de 1980's (7 films). De 2000's doen beduidend slechter dan vorig jaar toen het decennium nog over 29 films in de lijst beschikte. Alle andere decennia gaan er echter op vooruit, ten koste van de 2000's.
* De Verenigde Staten zijn het meest vertegenwoordigd in deze lijst met 53 films, een kleine vooruitgang tegenover vorig jaar. Ook de nummers 2, 3 en 4 (Frankrijk met 8 films, het Verenigd Koninkrijk met 7 films en Duitsland met 6 films) hebben een groter aandeel films in de lijst. Grootste verliezer is België dat terugvalt van 9 tot 3 films in de lijst, en staat daardoor samen met Zuid-Korea en Denemarken op een gedeelde vijfde plaats.

Cikx, erg mooie lijst heb je. Zoals ik je al gezegd heb, hoop ik er nog heel veel tips uit te halen, en wie weet verschijnen er enkelen ook wel in één van de komende fok top 100's. Enter The Void moet ik dringend nog eens kijken, zoals ik heb gezegd. Dat heb ik nu dus gelukkig gedaan bij Irreversible en dat resulteerde tot een zeer goede notering. Ik vond de film ook wel gemakkelijker dan verwacht, maar ETV is echt een film waarvoor je tijd moet vrijmaken en in de juiste stemming moet zijn. In principe zal ik de film wel gezien hebben tegen volgend jaar.
Mandy moet ik trouwens ook blijkbaar maar snel gaan kijken. Zeer hoge noteringen. Ik hoop dat dat een film voor mij wordt. Ik moet verder ook nog Seul Contre Tous van Noé zien.
De films van Du Welz moet ik ook eens zien, geen idee of ze wat voor mij zijn. We zullen wel zien. Ik moet ook wat meer Refn zien (Pusher trilogie zal zeker aan bod komen).
La haine lijkt me verder ook wel iets. Reservoir Dogs en The Big Lebowski wil ik nu ook graag zien, omdat Pulp Fiction onverwacht zo een meevaller was. Absoluut nooit gedacht dat dat een film voor mij zou zijn, en om die redenen had ik die films ook nog niet gezien. Dat zal ik volgend jaar wel gedaan hebben. Léon, Into The Wild en Das leben der anderen zijn nog zo een voorbeelden van films die ik eens moet gezien hebben. Apocalypse Now ook trouwens. Tegen volgend jaar denk ik dat dat wel gebeurd zal zijn.
Ik wil ook graag wat meer Koreaanse films zien zoals onder andere Oldeuboi maar ook Memories of Murder, of het meer recente Burning, The Handmaiden en The Wailing. Zuid-Korea heeft zeer veel gerenommeerde films, en de films die ik tot dusver heb gezien liggen me wel.
Horrors als The Texas Chainsaw Massacre en Martyrs wil ik ook zeer graag zien. Sowieso wil ik heel wat horrors gezien hebben. Horror, sf, misdaad en drama (coming-of-ages en sociale drama's) zijn de genres die me het meest boeien.
Amores Perros, Boogie Nights en Snatch zijn nog zo een paar voorbeelden van klassiekers die ik eens moet gezien hebben. Ik kan je zeker garanderen dat dat nog zal gebeuren.
Overall, erg mooie lijst uiteraard met veel raakvlakken met de lijsten van ik en Cikx.
De genres horror, misdaad en drama waardeer ik ook heel erg. Sf vind ik wat minder (volgens mij ook niet echt een SF film in m'n top 100) dus geef mij maar daarvoor in plaats het mystery-genre. Als ik je nog een tip mag geven op het gebied van horror zijn het vooral de Fransen die het als geen ander kunnen. Martyrs, Haute Tension, A l'interieur, Frontiers om er een paar te noemen. Sowieso kan ik de New French Extremity wave wel erg waarderen.
Noé, Refn en Du Welz zijn mijn top 3 regisseurs. Eigenlijk kan ik je al hun films wel aanraden, die van Noé en Refn zullen je wel liggen denk ik. Du Welz is ook wel het proberen waard, in zijn films ligt de focus vooral op het acteerwerk en de relatie tussen de 2 hoofdpersonen. Ik zou alleen niet met Alléluia beginnen, ik denk dat Vinyan of Calvaire (denk Calvaire het meest) het best is om mee te beginnen.
Stiekem vind ik eigenlijk Reservoir Dogs beter dan Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction heeft alleen voor mij een grote herkijkwaarde en wat meer humor waardoor ik hem net wat beter waardeer. Films van Alejandro Inarritu en ik denk ook wel van Terrence Malick je zullen liggen. En klassiekers zoals The Big Lebowski, Snatch en Boogie Nights zijn sowieso het kijken waard, ik vind ze erg leuk iig.
Maargoed, ik zal je volgen, ik ben benieuwd wat je van de films gaat vinden en of er nog tips voor mij bij gaan zitten

Qua horror denk ik dat ik heel veel ga kunnen waarderen. Vermoed vooral heel wat oudere horrorcinéma enorm te zullen gaan waarderen. Sfeer is voor mij belangrijk, en horrorfilms kunnen als geen ander sfeer neerzetten in een film. The Exorcist of bijvoorbeeld films als Alien, The Fly, Blade Runner en The Thing hebben een buitengewoon goede sfeer. Dat soort films uit de jaren '80 liggen me wel, dus daar moet ik wel nog wat meer van gaan zien.
Er is nog heel wat om te zien trouwens. El abrazo de la serpiente, About Elly, All is Lost, Lost River, Deliverance, Inferno, Zoe, Hjartasteinn, Good Time, Das Boot, The Bad Batch, Mandy, Paranoid Park, Last Days, Blade Runner 2049 etc... zijn de soort films waarvan ik het meest naar uitkijk om ze te kijken.

Mwah, toch zijn er nu al 93 films (op 612 in totaal) genoemd die de laatste vijf jaren zijn geproduceerd. Maar als ik voor mezelf spreek, dan heb ik de films die ik gezien móest hebben al wel gezien en die staan in mijn top 100 (of 500 eigenlijk).quote:

Films zijn wel goed genoeg om in mijn top 500 komen, maar voor de top 100 moet je wel extreem goed zijn. Zoals Blader Runner 2049. En zulke extreem goede films worden er inderdaad niet zo heel veel meer gemaakt, vind ik.

Grappig, heb deze week maar liefst 3 films uit dit jaar gezien die in mijn top 50 beland zouden zijn: The Limit of Sleeping Beauty, Burning en Sorry to Bother You. Maar goed, ik heb sowieso veel meer met films uit de laatste 20-30 jaar dan met klassiekers, uitzonderingen daargelaten. Zo hebben onafhankelijke filmmakers vandaag de dag veel meer middelen om een hoogstaande film in elkaar te zetten, is er op audiovisueel gebied meer te beleven en is de stijl van acteren ingetogener geworden naar mijn idee.quote:

In tussentijd niet zo veel films gezien. Home zou de lijst wel duidelijk gehaald hebben (in de 25-50 klasse), maar dat is dan voor volgend jaar. En The Conjuring ook opnieuw gezien. Die zou net wel / net niet (wellicht eerder niet) de top 100 halen. En naar het schijnt is het vervolg ook de moeite waard. Die moet ik nog zien.
Heel wat teleurstellende films ook gezien, waarvan enkele niet eens afgekeken.
Helaas viel de opkomst dit jaar wat tegen (zie statistieken). Daarom plaats ik nu eerst even alleen de reguliere Top 100. Of er een Schaduwlijst komt, ga ik dit weekend bekijken, maar door het lagere aanbod is die lijst nu minder representatief geworden.

Ik vind de lijst mooier geworden (misschien door jammer genoeg de wat teruggelopen deelnemersactiviteit) en op hier en daar een fluke (zoals Finding Nemo) is de lijst opvallend veel mooier geworden. Ik ben ook benieuwd naar de nieuwe top 250 op ICM. Ik bedoel, met de uitvallers ga ik wel vaak gewoon akkoord.
Ik ben ook wel weer van plan om weer een heleboel nieuwe films te zien tegen volgend jaar. Zo komen Apocalypse Now en Reservoir Dogs zeker nog aan de beurt in de komende weken.

De nummer 2 (en twee jaar op een rij) uit de Fok! top 250 moet ik toch wel eens gezien hebben, vind ik. En hij staat ook in de top 50 van zowel IMDb als MM.Magnolia had je misschien nog in de top 250 kunnen duwen. Maar top 100 had hij nog stemmen voor nodig gehad. Bij NCFOM en Psycho misschien wel, afhankelijk van hoe hoog die stonden.quote:
