If you want to talk ideology: truth is, BTC is cutting off billions(!) of people with $20+ tx fees. #XRP/Ripple works with guys like @gatesfoundation (see mojaloop.io) - actually DOING something for financial inclusion & global consumers...making the world a better place.


1) trustlines do not apply to XRP (unless doing paychans), so anyone can send anyone Xrp and Ripple can do nothing about it

2) if Ripple completely disappeared tomorrow - dissolved, vanished - the network would still run alright. So not centralised.

3) ripple cannot manipulate Xrp or anything else via their trusted nodes unless the rest of the network agreed. There's a very, very slim chance if that ever happening.

4) Xrp lockup. Research it. It eradicates any possibility that Ripple can dump Xrp or use it to manipulate the price.

5) Ripple is a private start-up, not a government "Fiat" = government-controlled. And Ripple simply cannot control anybody else's Xrp. XRP is also a cryptographically secures asset - therefore is a cryptocurrency as much as BTC, ETH, IOTA etc etc...

6) Assuming the ignorance or willful conceit of people who choose to buy XRP is also misplaced in my view. Have you even mentioned the Internet of Value? Or the removal of huge bank fees for ppl like us thanks largely to XRP? Or ability for high-volume, low cost micropayments?

so true, these are the Lambo guys when btc is pumping and then the morality police as we go 60x on xrp and lumens. So sad and old by now.
