En trouwens, ik vond The Neon Demon de grootste tegenvaller van 2016 die ik gezien heb. Eigenlijk een grote aanfluiting en nepperd.

Jesse is een aspirerend model dat besluit te vertrekken naar Los Angeles. Daar aangekomen raakt haar jeugdigheid en levenskracht gevangen in een wereld van schoonheid en teloorgang door geobsedeerde vrouwen die er alles voor over hebben om te krijgen wat zij bezit.
Slechte film. Horror is deze films zeker niet en de term 'Thriller' is ook niet echt van toepassing op deze film.
In eerste instantie dacht ik ook dat de film over een demoon zou gaan, maar dat werd een teleurstelling. In de hele film gebeurt bijna niks. Ik vond het maar een vage film. Het verhaal is moeilijk te volgens terwijl het niet eens een diepgaand verhaal is. De scenes hebben wel vaak een kunstzinnige compositie, aparte camera shots, vage symbolen, spelen met licht

Apart. Heb zelf juist erg genoten van de prachtige beelden en sfeervolle soundtrack waardoor het een bijzonder fijne audiovisuele trip werd.quote:
