De stuwkracht wat de LM Descent Propulsion System leverde kon worden bestuurd, dit werdt natuurlijk gedaan om gecontroleerd te landen. De stuwkracht wat de LM leverde tijdens landen was veel minder dan wat het maximaal kon leveren.

Boven Apollo, midden Astrometry, onder Stellarium.
Astrometry heeft geen groen punt gezet bij een felle witte streep links boven. Waarom niet?
Dat komt omdat Astrometry niks doet met de locatie van planeten. Planeten zoeken is het doel simpelweg niet.
Stellarium berekend de locatie van planeten wel, en aan de hand daar van kunnen we zien dat de witte streep Mercurius is.
Weer een planeet er bij.

Klopt, zoals ik hier heb laten zien hebben ze blijkbaar detail genept wat ze niet zonder Apollo missies konden weten. Dit geld voor de Apollo Panoramic Mapping Camera, maar natuurlijk ook voor 70mm EVA foto's, 16mm beelden en live TV beelden. Die laten allemaal detail zien wat niet te zien is in Lunar Orbiter foto,s, die vaak voor hoaxers worden gebruikt als argument.quote:
