Zo zou hij de Amerikaan Galen Rupp testosteron hebben gegeven. Farah, die sinds 2011 samenwerkt met Salazar, wordt nog nergens van beschuldigd.

The Olympic gold medallist has withdrawn from the Australian team for the FINA World Championships after accepting a provisional ban for the alleged doping violation, which dates back to 2013.

Swimming Australia has confirmed that Palmer received notification from FINA regarding the alleged violation. The violation dates back to the World Championships held in Barcelona two years ago.

Palmer was a member of the Australian team that won the 4x200m freestyle relay at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 where she was the fastest swimmer of the quartet that shocked the United States and China.

It is understood the positive sample was so small that FINA initially dismissed any investigation but WADA demanded the case be re-opened.

Former ASADA boss Richard Ings said if an athlete tested positive to a banned substance, protocol dictated the laboratory notify the relevant sporting body, WADA and the anti-doping authority in the athlete's home country.

"Whether it's FINA or the lab or WADA, this matter appears to have fallen through the cracks," he said.

"Asking any athlete two years down the track to go back to remember and reconstruct what they did to trigger a positive test is both extremely difficult and unfair."

In a statement on Thursday, Swimming Australia said Palmer had stepped down from any involvement in the Dolphins while the matter was being investigated.

"This week, Kylie has advised Swimming Australia that she has voluntarily accepted a provisional suspension, under FINA's Doping Code. The provisional suspension shall operate until the final determination of the matter by the FINA Doping Tribunal.

"By operation of the provisional suspension, Kylie shall not compete at this week's event in Townsville. Further, Kylie has informed Swimming Australia that she has withdrawn from the Australian team, selected for the upcoming FINA World Championships in Kazan.

Door zo'n plaspil kan iemand snel wat afvallen, van belang bij sporten met gewichtsklassen, maar ook het gebruik van bijvoorbeeld spierversterkende preparaten maskeren. Zeneli werd uitgesloten van deelname aan het toernooi in Bakoe.

Ephedrine has been linked to several heart attacks and strokes."

The Egyptian NADO imposed a sanction of 2 years' ineligibility on the athlete starting on December 12, 2014. Her FINA ban started on December 15th, 2014 and will extend through December 15th of 2016.

Currently Norhan Naser Salah is the only athlete banned by FINA for testing positive for ephedrine.

As a result, the featherweight has been suspended for nine months, and his win over Jackson has been flipped to a no-contest.

The Brazilian Athletic Commission MMA (CABMMA), which oversaw the event, announced the news today. CABMMA, in a statement, said all fighters on the card were tested for performance-enhancing drugs, masking agents and recreational drugs at the event. Only Jason had a result that came back positive.

The drug tests were sent to a WADA-accredited lab in Los Angeles, CABMMA said in its statement.

UFC Fight Night 67 took place May 30 at Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil. It aired on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Jason’s fight against Jackson closed out the preliminary card on FOX Sports 1.

Jason was fighting for the first time in a year, looking to rebound from a split-decision loss to Robbie Peralta in May 2014. He did so in a big way, submitting Jackson with a textbook triangle choke in the first round.

Following the fight, Jason said he had been fighting with an injured right foot, but didn’t pull out of the fight because he was positive his skills on the ground could lead him to a win – which they did.

“My right foot is injured,” Jason said after the fight. “I decided I wouldn’t tell anybody about it. I was supposed to endure a 40-day treatment. At the end, I took only two weeks. I did that because I trust my jiu-jitsu and I knew I was able to defeat Damon with my it. He’s a great fighter, but I trust my jiu-jitsu.”

Jason, the featherweight winner of the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil,” now will be eligible to return to action in early March 2016.

The UFC will implement a new strict anti-doping policy next month with year-round random testing for all its fighters in a partnership with the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), and the Nevada State Athletic Commission recently announced ramped up suspensions and fines for first-time offenders, and lifetime bans in some cases on a second failed test.

Under the new NSAC policy, a positive test for a diuretic, which can be used to help cut weight for a fight, carries a first-time offensive penalty of a yearlong suspension and fine from 25-35 percent of a fight purse. The second offense gets a two-year ban and up to a 50 percent fine, and the third offense gets a lifetime banning.
