Blogging today is very popular. Whether it is about food, beauty, fashion or travelling, bloggers are hot. A good blogger can even earn money with it. With big bloggers having many followers, a new trend has emerged. Companies, such as HEMA, Daniel Wellington, Quaker and many more, have connected with so-called influential bloggers. The bloggers are influential because they have many followers on different media channels. A smart marketing move.
The way that these companies connect with the bloggers varies, but most brands choose to let the bloggers advertise for them, without it being too obvious. This could be that a food blogger says something about a HEMA product on Facebook. Or that a fashion blogger parades her new Daniel Wellington watch on Instagram. However, most of these bloggers get paid to advertise for these brands. Are these bloggers still driven by their own experience and opinion or are they just letting money talk?
My question to you all is the following:
Would you buy a product or go to a certain restaurant when a blogger recommends it? Or would you their opinion mean nothing to you?
